In the first row above, you the symbols for 0,1 ,2, 4, 8 ,16, 32. Just add them together and you get the number. So,eg, bottom left and bottom right is 16+32=48. Just like a binary number. The current symbols are up to six bits (like 011010=22).Still think #20 (and the subsequent numbers) is wrong and messes up their own internal pattern.
I see what you're saying. From that binary-like perspective I see what they're going for.
