Can you fight while Spider Climbing?

I'd allow it and in fact have actually allowed it in the past.

So have I. Of course, it helps when you'r actually following the rules as written, too:
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/climb.htm

"You need both hands free to climb, but you may cling to a wall with one hand while you cast a spell or take some other action that requires only one hand."

Now, that's for someone even if they have no climb speed or sticky appendages at all. I don't care what the hell the spider climb spell text technically says, it makes no sense at all to ever say a creature can't fight with one hand while holding onto the wall with the other.

Climbing is an action. So to move on a vertical surface requires both hands to be free. But to cling (ie no movement) requires only one hand and frees one hand for spell casting or attacking. At least that is my take on it.

This is how I interpret it, too. Clinging is not climbing. "To climb in this manner" means to move, I think.

So in other words, you can move along a wall/ceiling as a move action (but not draw a weapon while doing so), and once you stop, you can then draw a weapon as a move action, or as a free action and attack with it if you have Quick Draw.

Once you do that though, you'll probably need to either drop the weapon, or sheathe it as a move action (provoking an AoO), before you can start climbing again.

Sounds good to me.
