Can you help me name an adventuring group?

Oryan77

Adventurer
I have a religious NPC adventuring group that will make an appearance to the PCs. It is full of human Paladins & Clerics who's main objective is to rid the world of undead. These guys don't all worship the same deity but they do all worship various good aligned dragons.

I'd like to give this group a name but I'm having a hard time thinking of anything cool. I also don't normally name adventuring groups, but I'm wanting to try something new.

Would anyone have any suggestions for a good name for this group? I haven't put much thought into the group, so I'm pretty open to any suggestions. Thanks!

The Necrotic Trio. (But only if there are three of them, and you're familiar with the old Nibrobie Trio skit.) :D

On a more serious note, how about The Radiant Dragons? (Or Draconics?)

Hmmm... random brainstorming to follow...

Dracolegionnaires

The Dracolegion Guard

The Dracoguard

The Draco-Protectorate

The Honor Guard Dracolegion

Honor Bound Dracolegion

Draco-mercs

Legionnaires of Valor

Legionnaires of The Scale

Guardians of the Scale

The Scales of Valor ("Scales" being what they call themselves maybe - like "soldiers")

The Scales of Honor (of Justice, of Flame, etc)

Honor Bound Scales

Knights Draco

Knights of the Scale

Ok, that's all for now - back to work!

I once had an undead fighting organization from one of my homebrew campaigns. They were named "The Most Holy and Spartan Knights of St. Charon the Ferryman".

The idea was that they were helping St. Charon ferry souls across the Deadly River by finding all the lost, wandering souls and sending them his way.

Very cool.

I have to say I was laughing when I first read it as I read it wrong... I read it as...

"The MostLY Holy and Spartan Knights of St. Charon the Ferryman"

...hehe.

I kinda like Order of the Cleansing Flame, but not all dragons have fire breath weapons and this group has worshipers of different dragons. I also like the "Scales" reference.

So I'm thinking I'll maybe go with Order of the Cleansing Scales. It sounds pretty cool, but does that reference even make sense?

Hmmm... first thing I thought of was a dragon licking its leg like a cat to clean itself...

Hmm.

Hm.

*thinks*

The Holy Mortal Pounders -- because they are concerned with actual mortality, and they pound on anything that isn't.
@Oryan77: that should be "whose main objective," not "who's main . . ."
@Ed_Laprade: should be "Nairobi" as in the capital of Kenya, not "Nirobie"
(and may the soul of the late, great Ernie Kovacs be at peace)
