Can You Manifest a Psionic Power While Gaseous?? WAS:Windwalk and Psionics?

Yup. Even a Schismed mind can manifest powers without an actual body to control at all. Even better, a Ghostwalk eidoloncer psion can Ghost Ride in the Barbarians body and cast powers from safely inside ;)

My beef is that the spell potentially lasts for hours and the guy is basically indestructable.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

I think your concern is based on a misunderstanding of the power of Gaseous Form/Windwalk. Defensively it has very little power for appropriate encounters when WW comes available (11th).

You have DR 10/Magic, and Crit and poison immunity. Passable mobility (Fly 10) and no ability to physically interact with anything, and possibly lower AC (lose NA and Armor bonuses). That's it.

You take full damage from magic, magical weapons, supernatural abilities, spell-like abilities, alchemists fire, and potential damage from non-magical weapons (non-magical weapon damage is 10 less, but most creatures can punch through DR10 at 11th+).

Gaseous Form (and Windwalk) are far from making the caster "indestructable".

That's true enough, by that level, being gaseous is not really any protection at all. It just might make fleeing a bit more easy, depending on the surroundings.

Where do you find Ghostwalk eidoloncer?

Yoowza. Now that's a wicked combo. Ouch.
:D I know ;)

Well its good for Rystil's well-being that he can pull that combo. Because when push comes to shove, if he doesn't have a body he will lose a combat to three housecats with 75% certainty, and he's level 3 ;)
