Spoken like like a true northerner... Yeah we get forgotten about, but we can still talk your ears off with the best of them. Besides if it had been for Southern Illinois, the Union Army of the West would have had no place to launch their campaign to beat the combined armies of the South in the Civil War. (or start the march to the sea, campaign for Kentucky & Tennessee, seige and blockade of Texas...)
