Can't charge invisible opponents?

If you don’t have line of sight to the opponent at the start of your turn, you can’t charge that opponent.

I just noticed this. Was everyone already aware? Or am I misunderstanding that invisibility doesn't negate line of sight, but simply makes it incredibly difficult to see?

Invisibility gives you 100% concealment, thereby negating line of sight. This is why you cannot target an invisible creature with Magic Missile, for example.

You can charge a hex. If the invisible creature isn't in the hex, then you are going to miss. If the creatur is in the hex, you still have a 50% miss chance.

But if you are standing in a square, then you are safe.

Not according to the RAW. You cannot charge if you don't have line of sight. You don't have line of sight to an invisible target. Therefore, you cannot charge an invisible target.

In this case, you obviously wouldn't have line of sight with your target- which is why you'd get a 50% miss chance. What you DO have line of sight with, however, is the square they're (supposedly) in. When someone's invisible, and you attack where you think they are, you're targeting their square, rather than them. Therefore, there's only a 50% chance that you'll hit them, as there's only a 50% chance they're in the part of the square you targeted. Make sense?
