Basically: When in doubt, overkill?

Ouch. Just ouch.

Yet possibly not the effect he was going for. The problem is that high Will save folks could possibily keep a large percentage of their items, and the items that are really rude could have a Will save even higher making them less likely yet to be disposed of. If they have artifacts in that arsenal then Disjunction is little more than a pig-in-a-poke.

The thorniest issue of a Monty Haul is undoing it, which is what makes it so insidious. Time for the ol' clique of a naked only transporter, or possibly a mundane item only transporter. Then just drop them into an environment that has a slightly higher than your target environment for magic items for a bit till the come into line with you target.

There will be much wailing and nashing of teeth, of course. But those items aren't nessarily gone forever. They might be able to return to the point of transport to try track down the items in the future (hopefully only shortly before you pass on the GM reigns ;) ). I wouldn't mention that though, otherwise watch them focus not on your adventure but on the single minded task of retrieve the lost lewt.

Try an Ethereal Filcher. One of the stupidest looking creatures but could get the job done.

Then they could quest to get their stuff back. Double result.

Also check out some of the oozes - they have the ability to destroy metal, wood etc.

...and don't forget to check the Destrachan from the MM 1, page 49: Destructive Harmonics (Su), Material...... :]

Kind regards
