Cartoon Network takes a hit on Adult Swim

Frankly I have always felt cartoon network would be best served by splitting into two channels, one that is complete anime all the time. Not being in a youngster catergory anymore(18-25), my workload precludes me from staying up to 1 am to watch cowboy beebop, hell since I usually awaken at 4 am I generally couldnt watch futurama.

However an all anime all the time channel with a good mixture of different shows,(mecha fantasy and so on), I would deffinetely watch.

Well, this is what we get in the UK. That's why I wasn't sure what Adult Swim was exactly, since our version, CNX, is on 24/7. It's not all anime, but I guess it's basicly most of the shows that they show on Adult Swim.

Though there are some differences. Sky One has quite a few of the animes mentioned, that they show in the mornings. And Fox Kids has Jackie Chan Adventures (And Sailor Moon, but they stopped showing that just as I actually developed an interest in it, thanks to one of the PbP games).

What? Not even for Futurama?

I think there are two here too, Boomerang shows older cartoons, I am not sure it's a separate channel but I think it is. Of course where I live we don't get a lot of cable channels.

It's a separate channel but part of the same syndicate.

Up here in canada we don't have Cartoon network, but we've got something that's basically the same thing that's been going for a few years... "Teletoon", and every night they have a block of programs called "Teletoon Unleashed"

As for the lack of Anime stores... Saskatoon (The city I live in) Is only about 300,000 people and we've got at least 3 stores I know of that are all about cartoons + Anime (Evangelion, Sailor Moon, DBZ, etc).

Course then again they don't call saskatoon 'toontown' for nothin', eh?

Where I live is a thriving metropolis of around 30,000 (if we're lucky), If they don't sell it at Wal Mart then it's hard to get around here. We have a comic book store that also has some gaming stuff(a rack of stuff and some dice) and and there is a Suncoast in the Mall for anime. Thank goodness for mail order, I order most of my stuff off the internet. Heck it wasn't that long ago that we got Cartoon Network as a cable channel here.
