Cast Ritual

:3:As, say, a fighter, you're going to have to spend multiple feats to have the skills necessary to cast the rituals reliably.
Not really. Heal is a class skill for fighters, and it looks like Wis is one of their secondary attributes. Think of it as being trained as a field medic.

I don't know for sure, but I';m going to guess that the actual rituals available in the game are going to be the realm of the DM... As in I'm guessing the PHB will say this flat out. Ask your DM if any of these rituals are available... blah blah...

A feat would be overpowered if not taking it automatically weakens you.

Sure Cast Ritual might let you cast any ritual you want, but that doesn't mean your character has access to them.

Is there a difference in the feat requirements to cast/perform a ritual scroll versus a known (learned from a tome) ritual?

Sure, although it has been at least 15 years since I saw it last. Either way, I still don't like the flavor of pure fighters casting Raise Dead. Maybe I just need some time to digest it.. /shrug

I think of it like a religion. In a game world, all Clerics might be clergy, but not all members of the clergy are Clerics.

So, I have no problem with Fighters casting rituals (assuming they can do so by RAW). Perhaps they picked up a few tricks from their Wizard friend. Maybe they have a special interest in the arcane that does not necessarily translate into combat abilities. I'm cool with that.

If it's skill based though, Martial classes might not be the best choices anyway, particulary if they don't have easy access to Arcana or Religion.

I don't think we have to wait much since today is the day for the ritual excerpt by wizards (as far as I remember). I think that it will address many of the issues mentioned.

Hope I remember well.

Okay, then... - summoning an angel is nothing...

During the great war between the gods and the primordials, angels offered themselves as warriors to the gods that best encompassed their callings, and today they continue to act as mercenary forces for anyone willing to meet their price—be it wealth, or power, or a cause worthy of their attention.

if you have a problem and no one else can solve it... and you can find them... maybe you can hire...
