Casting the OoTS movie

V should be tilda swinton. She's elegant, almost aristocratic, would look good as an elf, and can definitely pull off the androgynous look.

I think she'd be perfect, even if I think V's male.

Just imagine Christopher Walken saying "I am a sexy shoeless god of war."

Not that I would seriously suggest that, but imagine it, and you can thank me when you finish laughing. ;)

An order of the stick movie would be best as animated -- no question to me. :) As for voice talent:
(snip)
Ever since the first comic, I can't help but hear Belkar sound like Cartman from South Park. It has eased in the past year, but it still creeps in there occassionally.

Wow. Seriously, just... wow.

Reminds me of this.

That is an inspired idea actually. Not to have Christopher Walken be Belkar, but instead have him narrate and do the voices for all of the characters. Heck, if George Carlin could do "Thomas the Train", I can seriously hear Christopher Walken narrating OotS. Have to consider that when the next comic comes out.

Voice casting is tough to get just right. Everyone has a view of what would be just right, if there even is just a think. I mean, I am not really sure I *ever* gave thought to what the characters *really* sounded like until this thread. They just " sounded " the way the sounded in my head.

I can try though, hehehe...

Maybe the guy that voices Kon for Belkar.

I'd agree that an OotS movie would have to be animated—its stick figure style is a big part of the look and humor of the comic.

I'm at a loss to think of voice talent for the characters, though I generally agree with Henry's pics.

For some reason, I see Gilbert Gottfried as the voice of the Oracle (seems like that sort of grating, smart-alecky sort of character). Also see Dietrich Bader (Korgoth) doign a very good Thog of the Linear Guild. Elan's voice actor could "evil" his voice a little bit to do Nale (that and his intelligent dialog would be the thing).

Having a heck of a time trying to find the right voice for Eugene Greenhilt—perhaps Phil Lamarr cover Eugene as well, using a gruffer vocal style for Eugene.
