Casting the OoTS movie

Why is it that when I watch that video, I feel like I'm watching a collection of non-explicit clips from a porn movie?

If they made a movie, they'd need to digitally reduce the actor playing Belkar anyway. Which is why I think he should be played by Adam Baldwin. I think we all know Belkar is basically just a shorter, shoeless Jayne.

Keanu Reeves with a blond dye job as Elan.

On a serious note... I think if I was really casting a live-action OoTS movie I'd seriously consider Dwayne Johnson as Roy.

The rock would be PERFECT as Roy; good call on that.

Durkon - Jack black. Imagining him all geared up like a dwarf freaking out about the trees... Jack could totally pull it off.

V - Tilda Swinton. The weird andro-angel she played in Constantine pretty much sells me on that. Pluse she comes across as quite intelligent.

Haley - Jennifer Connelly (sp). I think she could pull off the sexy-thief very well.

Elan/Nale - You can't have Kean-whoa play Nale, so he'd be out. Leonardo DeCaprio. The guy can play twisted, so Nale's covered, and he just reminds me of Elan.

Belkar - Batista from WWE. Use camera tricks/CGI to shrink him down and he'd be hilarious as the over-roided sexy shoeless god of war.

Redcloak - Mark Ruffalo.

I think The Monster In The Dark should be voiced by a really well known actor. Patrick Stewart or similar. All to make the big reveal (or non-reveal) at the end the funnier.

I do think Christopher Walken would be perfect for Xykon, though.

If you're doing it live action, why not simply use a real small person like Vern Troyer for Belkar?

I'm surprised nobody has proposed Samuel L. Jackson yet for Roy. Really, who else would you pick to play an irascible, sarcastic, but fundamentally noble action hero?
