When Zeitgeist Games decided to cease their agreement with Goodman Games, that press release announced that Castle Blackmoor would be released this month.

Anyone know the status?

We are going to have Castle Blackmoor at GenCon:Indy, along with the Player's Guide to Blackmoor.

When will those of us who can't go to GenCon see it in stores?

It should be en route to stores just before GenCon. We'll also have pre-orders on the website that will be filled right after GenCon. Those pre-orders will be personally signed by Dave Arneson.
