Oh that's cool.

Death Otter wants that phone. And to be fair, as a 2nd level character, her hacking is not actually super good. It's super good for a 2nd level character, but she can't even hit DC 25 on a 10, so...hee hee. Right now she's more of a talented amateur, who makes up for her shortcomings with a gargantuan amount of attitude.

I'm developing additional layers of plot, and have an assignment for each of you. Please update your RG entry to include an enemy and an ally. I'm not looking for stats, just a couple/three sentences on a foe and the same for an ally.

The enemy could be a big bad evil guy (BBEG) or a small-fry NPC. Someone who doesn't like your character. Someone with a grudge. You could have met the enemy in or out of prison, doesn't matter...a family member, a former friend or colleague, a high-school sweetheart. A homeless guy to whom your character once gave the finger.

The ally could be anyone. A relative. A friend. A high-school sweetheart. A homeless guy to whom your character once gave $5. Anyone. Someone who would do your character a favor. Let me know if the favor is a big favor (e.g., would hide your character if he or she were on the run) or a small favor (would give low-level info on a third party).

Enemy

Montavious Wallace - A bookie and manager of various underground and illegal fighting leagues and former friend of Feral. Gave Feral his name, in fact. When Feral decided to join a militant activist group and got himself arrested, Monty never forgave him. Feral was about to make it big, or so Monty thought, and Monty would've been able to cash in, big time. Monty blames Feral for his current financial and legal woes.

Ally

"Grendel" James Hartley - Another fighter, James did the underground circuits with Feral and Monty as manager for a few years. He's since gotten in to pro-wrestling with the Indiana Indie Wrestling (IIW) development circuit, wrestling under the name (and schtick) of Grendel. James is a hulk of a man, suffering from acromegaly (excess growth hormone) like Andre the Giant and the Big Show, though, like Show, he has had the issue resolved via surgery. Still, he is 7'3" and weighs nearly 500 lbs. James knew Feral when he was still Fiona and never judged, even giving Feral a place to stay when his family rejected him. James would likely do it again in a heartbeat.

Here are mine (also added to RG):
Enemy
Natisha Simpson - the older sister of the man killed in the drive-by shooting. As he was the one arrested and tried for the crime, she blames him personally for the incident and wants to see him spend the rest of his life in jail.

Ally
Hakim al-Masri - older man of middle eastern descent. Has been in jail for years, though never discusses the crime that landed him there. He introduced T-Dawg to Islam and T-Dawg would do anything for him in return.

 

[Forged Fury]

So many possibilities...

Ally: Chauncy "C-Note" Thompson, mid-level cog in the Miami drug trade. C-Note owes Cyril for keeping him out of jail on two separate occasions. He's well connected to the criminal element of Miami and would regularly send Cyril clients.

Enemy: Sheriff Jay Cross, head lawman of Dade County. Due to the large number of clients Cyril was able to get off on technicalities (typically related to shoddy police work), Sheriff Cross has developed something of a personal animosity toward Cyril. For some reason, Cyril is never able to match the name to the face, even though the two have encountered each other numerous times.

ETA: OK, I moved them all to Miami, FL.

I appreciate the tie-ins to Indy. If anyone prefers, however, their enemy and ally could be from anywhere in the world. Your PC, for example, could be from Boston and might have been transferred to FC Terre Haute; these kinds of prisoner transfers aren't uncommon.

I had originally envisioned Cyril being from Miami, but I figured it would be easier to incorporate them into Indy. If we're going to be traveling, I'll probably change them to Miami.

Traveling is a possibility. I don't currently have definite plans for travel, but that could be fun.
