J.R. follows down to the basement still in awe that this worked. When asked who he is he responds with a smile,

"I'm da guy who dies first in da movie unfortunately. Yinz want my stage name or da one on my birth certificate?"

After hearing the demand for identification he says,

"That answers that, my I.D. is in my wallet upstairs, I can go git it if yinz need it."

OOC: Where is Marks during all this? He just hiding in the kitchen? Lol

OOC: That's weird. The D20 Modern SRDs (all three that I checked) list a visual display for missive. It's apparently different between D&D and Modern for some reason.

Cyril nodded agreeably, "Certainly, I believe most of us have our IDs upstairs?" He motioned towards the stairs and started to head for them. "As far as looking around, I unfortunately don't think I have the authority to allow that since we don't own the place. On top of that, many of the areas of the church are being remodeled and repaired, they might be a little dangerous. I wouldn't want any of our valiant boys in blue getting injured for something so inconsequential."

Otter grabbed her own wallet, which was by the rest of her stuff on her work desk. It was, of course, mostly empty. Only suckers kept important things in obvious places. But for that reason it did have the driver's license that she'd been issued. She had no use for it, really...it was identifying an iteration of a person that didn't exist anymore.

But it was all she had for the moment, to get this guy off her back. She didn't hand it over immediately, hoping that whatever Cyril was doing would distract Jenks enough to make him forget to check her ID specifically.

Words in her head. Aliens in the bathroom. Cops slavering like little lost puppies.

Yeah, Cyril was going to have some 'splainin' to do in a bit.

"We'll go upstairs. Officer Miller will escort each of you to locate your identification, which you'll bring to the front foyer for presentation. Thank you." Jenks was polite but curt. "Miller! Take these folks around and get their ID. Meet me in the foyer when you have everyone's." Miller jumped a little, then nodded. He gave the thrall a sad look, as if it pained him to leave behind such a fine specimen.

Jenks motioned for everyone to head back upstairs. His hand gesture and stance indicated he'd go up last.

Feral scowled. His ID was buried, intentionally forgotten, underneath his prison gear. And it had the wrong name.

Then he hit upon using Cyril's wacky story as a cover. Reluctantly, he realized he was going to have thank Cyril when this was all over.

OOC: I'm worried about Jenks poking around. I think I'm going to try Attraction on him. Attraction to... the front foyer so he hopefully heads straight there and waits for us. I think I am going to play this as Cyril thinking he's a master at neuro-linguistic programming and subliminal suggestion, although he's obvious and terrible at it. The only thing that sees him through is that he is actually a telepath.

Attempting to manifest without the audible display. Concentration Check (DC15) = [roll0], if I am reasonably close to hitting the DC, I'll blow an AP to try for it, [roll1]

DC15 Will Save for Jenks. I'd blow an AP here if necessary as well.

Nodding agreeably, Cyril enthused, "Sure thing, Officer. We'll head to the front foyer as soon as we get our IDs. You know, the front foyer has nice architectural flourishes. Th front foyer, you said, right? Front foyer?"

Cyril heard applause come from somewhere and looked over at Otter's computer in confusion. Barely missing a beat, he said, "I didn't realize the editing station was on..."

T-dawg gets back to his feet, the pistol tucked into the back of his jocks completely forgotten. He follows Miller up the stairs, and waits to be escorted to his bunk here his licence is sitting in his pants pocket.

OOC: I just realised T-dawg never got dressed, just throwing on a t-shirt. For the sake of modesty, I'll assume he was wearing some jocks.

OOC: It's a Concentration DC 16 check to manifest attraction without a display (Base 15 + 1st power level F/X). With a roll of 10, I don't know that Cyril would burn the AP to try to luck out and hit the DC 16. You're allowed to see your roll result before declaring the expenditure of an AP. Go ahead and keep the AP, but the Concentration check fails. And, yes, Jenks totally forgot to collect T-dawg's firearm. Very unprofessional of him.

Jenks looked unimpressed. "Go get your IDs. Miller. Go with them. You," Jenks pointed at Otter's wallet in her hand. "ID." While he waited for Otter to extract identification from her wallet, Jenks radioed for backup, then yanked his malfunctioning earpiece from his ear and shook it. "I'll go get them in person," he muttered to himself.

Otter rolled her eyes and flipped the wallet open. Fishing out the license, she offered it up Jenks and plastered her face into an imitation of the tired stare the photo wore.

"Cotter's the name of the character," she said. "Thought you were in the movie. Whole thing's a giant fustercluck if you ask me...but a check's a check."
