CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

OOC: Neither J.R. nor Cyril see that the passenger in the Hummer has a gun. On a side note, you guys possess a firearm. The problem is that no one wanted to take ownership of said weapon, nor did anyone bring it with them. Not that you necessarily would have thought to bring the gun with you, since you anticipated only a trip to Best Buy. Still, it could have been stashed in the trunk or glove compartment of the SHO.

COMBAT ROUND 1, RESOLVED

Initiative:
. . .
Cyril 18
J.R. 17
T-dawg 15
Feral 8
Hummer H3 1

After Otter plinked the rock off the Hummer's windshield, which prompted Mr. Passenger to extract his sidearm from inside his blazer, Cyril eased the SHO into gear and prepared to ram the Taurus into the Hummer should the Hummer attempt to drive past and cross the rail tracks.

J.R. strode to the rear of the SHO and rummaged in the trunk for a crowbar, but doesn't find one. He does, however, find a spare tire, a tire iron, a case of bottled water, a case of Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), and a folded-up silver tarpaulin.

T-dawg stepped out from behind the Taurus and kept a covert eye on the Hummer. Seeing everyone else going crazy, T-dawg decided to block off the Hummer's route across the tracks. He waited for all the other traffic to pass the SHO so he could step out in front of the white vehicle, arms held out at his sides, and attempted to block the left lane as the Hummer moved to pass by.

Feral clung to the rear tire on the back tailgate of the Hummer. He'd spotted Mr. Passenger with a firearm, and chose to be cautious.

In the next moment, several things happened at once. The Hummer pulled out into the left lane and moved to pass by the SHO. From the look of the Hummer's trajectory, it was clear that the Hummer was aiming to pass across the rail tracks and, if left unimpeded, would easily make it there by the next round. When Cyril saw the Hummer start to pull out into the left lane, however, Cyril mashed the gas pedal on the SHO and banged into the Hummer. The front driver's side panel of the SHO crushed the front passenger-side fender and headlight of the Hummer, causing both vehicles to come to a halt. For good measure, T-dawg stepped into the left lane, directly in front of the Hummer.

OOC: To clarify, the Hummer is now in the left lane. No traffic is able to flow on Michigan because all three lanes are currently clogged with cars. The rightmost two lanes have vehicles stopped. The SHO is stopped across two lanes of traffic--the left and the middle lanes. The SHO and the Hummer collided. There is damage to both the SHO and the Hummer. The armbars of the rail crossing are still in the upright position; if lanes were to clear, traffic could continue to flow across the rail crossing. J.R. was left standing in the furthest right lane. Cyril is inside the SHO. Feral is clinging to the rear of the Hummer. Otter is standing in the middle lane. T-dawg is standing in the left lane. Please let me know if you've additional questions.

Feral had absolutely no idea why they were trying to stop this Hummer. He didn't particularly care. His hopes and dreams were still drowning in a sea of red tape and he felt like he did when he first started fighting for money - like the adrenaline rush was the only thing keeping him going. It was reckless, maybe even stupid, but he didn't care.

With that in mind, Feral climbs to the roof of the Hummer, staying on the driver's side, and makes his way to the hood, intent on obscuring the driver's view of the road with his own body.

Death Otter bursts into hysterical giggles. "Oh my god," she laughed. "This kicks ass!"

She quickly darts behind their SUV and ducks down, not wanting to be caught with any stray shots. From that vantage she looks back at the train tracks, trying to see if that thing is coming any time soon.

(OOC - Not quiiiite sure what I want her to do, so she'll move behind the SHO and delay her action to see what happens.)

OOC: The following is written in initiative order - i.e.: assumes J.Rs intended action has already occurred, but not Ferals

T-dawg stares in disbelief as J.R. smashes the passenger window, and Feral clings to the back of the Hummer. With a disappointed shake of his head, he moves over to the drivers side of the Hummer and attempts to throw open the door.
OOC: I assume that is two move actions. If T-dawg is able to open the door as part of his move, then he'll use his standard action to attempt to pull the driver out of the Hummer (I assume a grapple, and will spend an action point):
Grapple: [roll0]
Action Point: [roll1]
