CB's Grim Frequencies IC -- COMPLETE

J.R. watches in awe as Otter leads the police past him towards the basement. He gives the officers a nod and unfortunately could not subtly get Otter's attention. As soon as they are out of sight he heads towards his cot to hurriedly put on his clothes, including shoes, ready to make a run for it once this goes south.

Officer Jenks let Otter run with her diatribe. Feral saw him give the other cop a nod, though. The two cops followed Otter toward the basement. Jenks went downstairs with Otter, his baton in one hand. He left his sidearm in its holster at his hip, but the clasp had been undone. Down in the basement, Officer Jenks spotted T-dawg, then he looked at the paper-wrapped thing, then at Otter. "Your ID, Ms. Cotter." He was bulldoggish in his persistence. "State your name and gimme your identification," Jenks barked at T-dawg, in a tone far less kind than the one he'd been using with Otter. He didn't inquire anymore whether any of the occupants were injured; instead, he kept his back to the stairs and distance between himself, Otter, T-dawg, and the item wrapped in paper.

The other officer stopped in the hallway outside of the kitchen. He eyed the floor, then he looked at J.R. "What's this?" He pointed at the remnants of streaks on the hallway floor.

OOC: Where did Feral go, Kiraya_TiDrekan? I need you to declare.

I assume Cyril is still in the kitchen, Forged Fury?

Make a Bluff check, Shayuri.

If J.R. speaks anything other than the truth to the officer's question, Rubberneck, you need to provide a Bluff check.

OOC: Cyril is still in the kitchen, seeing exactly how jacked up this thing gets before Marks steps in or calls Garvey. I mean, I kinda have a plan to try to talk our way our of this. Have any of the cops seen Cyril yet?

"Yeah yeah, ID," Otter said absently, intently focused on the thing on her floor. She already knew what it was, she just couldn't believe it. The presence of the cop in the room suddenly dwindled to nigh-insignifance to her.

She pulls the paper back and sure enough, there it is. All black and goopy and rubbery and gross.

"JR, I AM GOING TO MURDER YOU!!" she shrieked.

(Bluff: 15...using another AP on that too for 10 base, 5 on AP.)

Officer Jenks went on high alert. He drew his firearm and commanded, "MA'AM, step away from that. STEP AWAY." The gun swiveled in T-dawg's direction. "On the floor, NOW! ON THE FLOOR!" Jenks took one step backward, toward the basement stairs. "ON THE FLOOR, BOTH OF YOU, HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACKS, NOW!" Jenks trained the gun once again on Otter, then seemed to settle for a mid-point between Otter and T-dawg. He kept his firearm raised and trained, then spoke into his earpiece. "11-99. Repeat, 11-99. Basement, near kitchen. Access through front and rear. Repeat, 11-99."

Upstairs, in the hallway, Officer 2 stiffened. He, too, reached to draw his firearm.

OOC: Not moving to combat rounds just yet, but we might. J.R. has an opportunity to physically prevent Officer 2 from drawing, if J.R. wants (not sure he wants to do this!). Down in the basement, Jenks has already drawn his sidearm and is ordering Otter and T-dawg to lay down on the floor with their hands behind their backs.

Feral goes to his knees slowly, "Look, officer, just chill. Its dead, ok. We don't know what it is but we killed it. Put the gun away."
