CE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Howling Dragon vs. Thunder Worm

OOC1: The first underground battle perhaps? ;)

OOC2: What rules do we use underground? Can they even attack each other? Does Jughead get an AoO?

If they can fight, I suppose Jughead attacks the worm.

OOC: No AoO's due to total cover. Attacking can begin now that they are adjacent.

Jughead hits three times for 34 total. Woimy has 128 hp left.

Round 870: Woimy bites for 3 (rolled 30) plus 2 Con (rolled 10 Fort save). Jughead resists calcification (rolled 22 Fort save). Jughead has 15 Con and 52 hp left. Woimy heals 5 hp to 133 hp.

Woimy tumbles straight down, avoiding an AoO and leaving solid earth in his wake.

Jughead misses. (Rolled 14)

Round 871: Woimy bites for 4. Jughead resists the bite and the aura (rolled 22 & natural 20 Fort saves) and has 48 hp left.

Woimy tumbles down into the dirt.

Jughead finds Woimy at 90N60E-50Z. He moves into Woimy's space and grabs Woimy (33 vs. 19 grapple), dealing 10 points of damage. Woimy has 123 HP.

Round 872

Jughead loses 1 point of Constitution from Woimy's presence (rolled 17 Fort save). Jughead has 14 Con.

Woimy wriggles out of Jughead's grasp (32 vs. 29 grapple), and tumbles up.

OOC: I just want to confirm that, due to cover, Woimy does not get an AoO when Jughead tries to move into Woimy's space. That seems strange to me, because once Jughead is in Woimy's space, Jughead should not have cover.

For them to even attack, they can't have full cover. I suppose when they are close enough to attack, there is no longer any cover (note the lack of miss chance rolls). Thus, Woimy should get an AoO. If that hits and Woimy attacks and tumbles away again, then Jughead will burrow up and to the west and keep going, playing for the draw. In fact, if he loses any more Con at all, he'll go away for the draw.
