CE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Howling Dragon vs. Thunder Worm

No good. Troglis is on slow little reptilian. Without a ranged weapon, he runs out. Bring on the next remove! :)

Edit: Also, this is a good time to exit, leaving the mephit really close to the CE entrance. Whoever's next can kill the mephit easily.

Next in round 244 for Chaotic Evil is a young redcap (Monster Manual III). Dusty has 2 HP remaining and is at 95N0E10Z. Should I take care of the redcap, or does someone have the MM III? (Maybe everyone should E-mail me with which books he has or post to the shearing pen. I feel silly having to ask.)
 


Round 244: A very short, tough-looking old man with leathery skin, iron boots, and (you guessed it) a red hat enters the arena to 60N0E. He has an oversized scythe at his side and a sling in his hand. Santa fires a sling bullet but does not even make contact (rolled 14). Dusty is first in round 245. He has already attempted to summon another mephit, and cannot breathe again until round 248.
 

Dusty can't afford to wait that long while Santa flings bullets at him, so he'll move in to attack in hand-to-hand combat until he can breathe.

Has Dusty used blur yet? If not, he'll do that first, this round, and then move up.
 

Round 245: Dusty used blur the first round he entered. It has not made a difference yet. Dusty moves to 60N0E5Z and swipes with claw (rolled 23+1=24 for HG), but his 2 points of damage are ignored completely.
Santa moves to 40N0E, provoking a successful AoO (rolled 14), but the 2 points of damage are ignored again. Santa misses with sling bullet #2 (rolled 17).

Is your previous request for time compression is still valid now that you know about the damage reduction that Santa has?

Now that DR applies, Dusty will try a breath weapon. If that has little or no effect, he will fly to a maximum height (115 or 120, unsure which is possible) and go on total defense and hope for the draw.
 

Round 246: Santa misses with sling #3 because of TD.
Round 247: Santa misses.
Round 248: Dusty breathes for 1, and it is not dodged (rolled 9 Ref save). Santa has 21 HP remaining, and is itchy. Dusty can breathe again next round.
Santa misses with #5.
Round 249: Dusty breathes for 2, and it is not dodged. Dusty can breathe next round.
Santa misses with #6, and has 19 HP.
Round 250: Dusty breathes for 1, and it is dodged. Dusty can breathe in round 253.
Santa hits with #7 (rolled 22-2=20 for itching) for 5. Dusty is surprised that the full force of the bullet hits him, just before he is dying. Santa is at 40N0E.

What a relief that we do not have to deal with mephits again.

Round 251: First in round 251 for Neutral is a glass mephit (Sandstorm).
 

Another mephit flaps into the arena. This one is slightly translucent with an inner fire like a dying ember and with a glossy skin. It flies to 40N110E15Z and attempts to summon a buddy as far west as possible. Looking around for molten glass proves fruitless, but Glassy grins as the potential destruction against Red Hat.
