CE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Howling Dragon vs. Thunder Worm

Scorch circles around to 60n60e30z, heading north (558), then another circle to 60n60e30z (heading southwest, 559), then breathes down in 560 and circles again to 60n60e30z heading east.

Assuming InsectLeo doesn't do anything else, that's Scorch's plan. Yeah, yeah, I know. I put "plan" and a red dragon in the same sentence. Deal with it. ;)

The best-laid plans of mice and dragons...

Round 558

Leo rears up on its hind legs and snaps its body forward, letting loose a volley of thorns in Scorch's general direction. Scorch does not dodge them (rolled 11 Ref save), taking 20 points of piercing damage. Scorch has 39 HP remaining.

I messed up the round number earlier, which I fixed with an edit. Scorch acts second in the round. He was right above Leo at the end of round 557, and Leo sent the thorns at the beginning of round 558 (the second part I got right). Scorch still has to wait until round 560 to breathe (I rolled a 4).

Round 559

Leo stays at 60N60E.

Scorch flies around in a tight circle, winding up at 100n110e50z, heading southwest. Assuming Leo stays still, Scorch will fight off the dizzy spell and fly strafe him with another gout of flame and end up at 30n35e45z heading southwest.

Round 560

Leo launches more thorns as Scorch comes in for the strafing run. Scorch does not dodge (Ref save 20), taking 15 points of piercing damage.

Scorch breathes at Leo, who does not dodge (Ref save 9), taking no damage (immunity or fire resistance 7+). Scorch can breathe again in round 564.

Round 561

Leo trots over to 40N40E and launches some more thorns. Scorch dodges this time (23 Ref save), taking 9 points of piercing damage. Scorch has 15 HP remaining.

Scorch will circle around to 50n40e, landing and deliver a full power attack bite. He'll then proceed to rip into Leo, bite and claw, until one or the other is dead (likely Scorch). No more power attack after the first bite.

Win or Lose the CE crowds cheer Scorch's actions.

Scorch cannot penetrate Leo's thorny exterior (rolled 25-7=18).

Round 562

Leo rears up and swings with both front legs, hitting with one, then grabbing on (28 vs. 17 grapple), pulling Scorch into its space and dealing 10 points of damage. Leo has 5 HP remaining.

Scorch misses five times (best roll 20-4=16).

Round 563

Leo slams Scorch for 13 points of damage on the second attempt. Scorch is dying. Leo is unharmed, and at 40N40E.

Next in round 563 for Chaotic Evil is Kalkol the young white dragon (Draconomicon).

Kalkol the Canadian dragon from the Great White North flaps into the arena from the south, ending up at 40n40e30z, and breathes a cone of frosty badness down on Leo. Kalkol hopes to take out Leo's remaining 5hp, though he surmises that was merely an accounting error.

"Take that, eh."

As a former professional accountant, I do not make accounting errors. It was a typo.

Leo seems to have amazingly slow reflexes (rolled 14 Ref save), taking 9 points of cold damage. Leo has 117 HP remaining (and this is a lesser battlebriar?). Kalkol can breathe again in round 565.

Round 564

Leo cannot speak, but Leo is thinking, "What a hoser. Take off." Leo launches a whole lotta thorns, which Kalkol does not dodge (16 Ref save), taking 18 points of piercing damage. Kalkol has 58 HP remaining.
