Well, I guess invisibility is useless. Does that thing really have blindsight?

She-Hulk will run out of the arena.

Just before the falcon-headed lion gets there, Birdie bites him (rolled 30) for 10 points of damage, but does not manage to grab on (30 vs. 34 grapple). The lion bites back (rolled 25) for 9 points of damage.

Round 643

Birdie bites again for 16 points of damage, and does grab on this time (36 vs. 27 grapple). Birdie flies over to 50N95E15Z, northbound. Birdie has 87 HP remaining. The falcon-lion has 41 HP remaining.

After reading up on the rake ability in the Monster Manual III and looking further in the Player's Handbook, it appears that you cannot normally attack with more than one natural weapon while grappling. However, falcon-lion does get to rake with back claws (at no penalty) in addition to biting.

The falcon-lion bites and rakes twice for a total of 21 points of damage. Birdie has 66 HP remaining.

Round 644

Birdie tosses the falcon-lion out of the arena, and continues flying to 60N60E20Z.

Next in round 644 for Chaotic Evil is a howling dragon wyrmling (Draconomicon).

It has the maxed-out skills Intimidate, Knowledge (history, local, nature, nobility), Listen, Search, and Spot.

It has the feats Flyby Attack, Hover, Improved Initiative, and Weapon Focus (bite).

OOC: That's arguable as it's a conflict in the rules between the specialized grappling rules and the rules on natural weapons. I was under the impression that Gansk had ruled a while ago that you could use all your natural weapons at a -4 penalty. Regardless, it doesn't matter for the sphinx as it stands no chance.

Howler flies into the arena at 20n and heads to 20n60e20z and breathes a sonicboom northward.

OOC: You are correct. Gansk addresses it in the rules for TBoAA. I rolled two additional claw attacks, and neither hit (best roll 19-4=15).

Howler is too far away to breathe a cone of sound at Birdie. The cone is only 30 feet long. I will place Howler at 30N60E20Z, so that the breath weapon can reach.

Birdie dodges the boom (rolled 24 Ref save), taking 7 points of sonic damage. Birdie has 59 HP remaining. Howler can breathe again in round 648.

Round 645

Birdie hits Howler hard (natural 20, 26 to confirm crit) with a sonic ray, but Howler ignores it completely. Birdie continues flying, turning to 40N60E20Z, eastbound.
