Howler will bite and claw and whatever else he can, hopefully getting a string of 20s and maximum damage rolls. Actually, whoever the poor slob is that will be thrown in next is hoping.

Howler claws once for 3 points of damage. Birdie has 56 HP remaining.
Birdie flings Howler out of the arena, then continues flying to 55N60E20Z.

Iragato the Killer Ninja, Shadow clan. flips into the arena, coming to a halt at 55n30e and uses a hollow reed to spew posionous vapors at his opponent.
The cone is only twenty feet long, so I will place Iragato at 55N60E.
Round 648
Birdie dodges those smoky shadows (rolled 16 Ref save). Iragato can breathe again in round 651.
Birdie hits Iragato in the head (natural 20; ranged touch 21 to confirm crit) with a ray of sonic energy, inflicting 48 points of sonic damage. Iragato does not die from the massive damage (rolled 17 Fort save), but is down to 27 HP.
Birdie continues flying, turning until ending up at 50N55E10Z, eastbound.

Iragato gives his battle yell, and scampers to 95n70e, avoiding Birdie as much as possible. He will try to pull shadows around him for concealment. If there is too much light he will use his special evasion power (full defense)
