CE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Howling Dragon vs. Thunder Worm

Private Snowball will run out of the arena, not being able to affect the General and not having any other option (assuming the General's Reach is beyond Snowball's).

(Correct assumption about the reach.)

General Rumbull has 684 HP remaining, and is located at 30N30E30Z.

Next in round 924 for Chaotic Evil is a hill giant (Monster Manual).

Lothar has 6 rocks, one of which he is throwing now. Badly, I might add. Lothar's rock veers away from General Rumbull (rolled 10).

Round 925

General Rumbull zooms over to 80N20E20Z and touches Lothar for 13 electrical and 11 sonic damage. Lothar has 78 HP remaining.

I assume that 20z is not within melee range for Lothar, right? If not, he throws rocks until he's out or until he's dead. If it is, then he pulls out his greatclub and swings away.

Lothar's rock goes right through General Rumbull (rolled 24).

Round 926

General Rumbull touches Lothar for 13 electrical and 14 sonic damage. Lothar has 51 HP remaining.

Lothar withdraws from the arena.

Next in round 926 for Chaotic Evil is an elder redcap (Monster Manual III). His name is Charlie Hustle. He looks like a small, tough, bitter old man. He is wearing a bright red, visored cap with a white 'C' (for Charlie, of course) emblazoned on the front. As he enters the arena, he loudly declares, "I have never bet on the Battle of All Alignments. I should be in the Hall of Fame. After I deal with General Rumbull, I will be signing autographs (for the low fee of 50 GP)."

What does Charlie Hustle do when he enters the arena?

(Did you remember the number, or have to look it up?)

#14's sling bullet (rolled 30) goes right through General Rumbull.

Round 927

General Rumbull zips over to 50N20E20Z, and lets loose another thunderclap. Charlie's attempt to dodge is almost as bad as previous combatants (17 Ref save); maybe Charlie thought he could get somewhere by getting hit. Charlie takes 110 points of damage, dying from the massive damage (rolled 13 Fort save). This performance will not get him in the Hall of Fame.

Next in round 927 for Chaotic Evil is Myastanaklon the juvenile black dragon (Draconomicon).

Are you kidding me? Who doesn't remember that number? ;) It turns out it's the same number as my favorite player, Jim Rice, so that helps.

The balor grabs Myastanaklon by the scruff of the neck. Actually, dragons don't have scruffs, so he really just grabs him by the neck. Myastanaklon starts shaking his head, a look of abject fear on his face, "No! Please, no!"

The balor giggles, "In you go!"

Myastanaklon lands at about 0n10e and breathes a line of acid at the General. He then cringes, awaiting the retaliation.

The crowds start up a chant. "Another one bites the dust! Hey, another gone . . ."

Your favorite player of that era was a lot better than my favorite player (Ron Cey), although how difficult is it to bang the ball off or over the Green Monster? :p Maybe your player being better than mine has something to do with you wiping me out in the ToC. :)

General Rumbull dodges the stream, but still takes 9 points of acid damage. General Rumbull has 675 HP remaining. Myastanklon can breathe again in round 930.

Round 928

General Rumbull zips to 5N10E20Z and touches Myastanklon for 12 electrical and 13 sonic damage. Myastanklon has 85 HP remaining.
