I THOUGHT that's what the boards were for: Ashtal's not a ivory tower, untouchable NPC - she's a poster on these boards who happens to be a moderator.

She was not acting as a moderator in her participation in this thread, as far as i'm aware, so why can't i tell her how i feel she was off-base?

Pcat - are you saying I can't diagree with someone if they just happen to be a moderator?

when you disagree with a moderator, you email them. You do NOT post it in the thread.

i thought i was disagreeing with a poster in the thread - not a moderator

Dude, if you go back over the thread Ashtal instigated the whole nipple discussion. Maybe she should have thought better of that before she posted it.

But everyone's clear on our old-fashioned Lorraine-William's-TSR stance on no nipples, right? Oh wait - I'm not serious on that. As usual, the guideline is "use your best judgement."

Seriously, what's important here is that we aren't being sexist jerks towards men OR women. I'm quick to offense at behavior that is incredibly insulting to one gender, even when the person saying the things isn't aware of the insult. Reapersaurus, when I read your post I thought, "Well, there is no way for the moderator to reply because you've created a situation where the normal thing to do is to respond defensively." You made it sound personal, to me at least, and that's not cool. Thus, my post.

And despite Doc's suggestion, there's no need to apologize; as you said, you were giving your opinion, and that's never a problem. I was only faulting the method in which your opinion was being given because I assumed it was moderator-related. You know - or you should know! - that even when we don't agree, I'll leave the boards before I tell you to think identically to how I'm thinking.

Oh yeah BTW, very pretty lady there. My exgirlfriend has a chainmail bikini that when we were together we had to get her a bigger size, and added little bells all around to the bottom of the top piece so she literally 'jingled' when she walked. No kidding, and get your mind OUT of the gutter guys!
