I only read thew first page. I got my hopes shot down like you guys; I just did it faster.

I didn't necessarily have hopes one way or another about it. However, I have been away from Enworld for awhile due to trouble with my hands. (They are getting better.) I just out of nowhere one day remembered this thread and thought to check up on it.

It may have shriveled, but that doesn't mean we can't post on it. Use it as a receptacle for unique outsiders, like the legendary Humanoids+Templates=Fun thread was. Forget about the contest!

Besides, I'm finally posting one. ;)

This bizarre abomination has a body shaped like a fleshy tree-trunk, topped with ten fanged heads resembling those of different humanoid races. All of their skulls are spilt open in jagged shards, and foul black spiders swarm inside them in place of brains. It has two thick sinewy legs, and eight spidery tentacles also serve to support it, although they appear to be redundant. The thing has two slender arms that seem out of proportion to the rest of the hideous bulk.

Ravana is the lord of all spiders and the patron saint to every skittering thing. At least, he is in his own warped mind. In reality, this loathsome creature is held prisoner by Lolth, the real Spider Queen in her Demonweb Pits as a reminder to any power who tries to assume her title.

Ravana was formerly a contingency of ten planar explorers who stumbled onto a long-forgotten portal to the Far Realm. They swiftly succumbed to the plane’s maddening effects, and fused into one hideous being. Insane from the transformation, the ten of them created a new name and identity for themselves, and began to spread terror in the other planes through their portal. Lolth, upset that the chaos Ravana was causing was done using her patron animal and was being assumed as her work by her worshippers, drug Ravana through his own portal and sealed it behind him, placing him in the palace of one of her Proxy as a prisoner. Ravana slew his immediate captor, and appealed successfully to Lolth to let him live as her servant. Ravana now controls the Proxy’s Palace, a squat, octagonal structure, where he schemes to get into the material world with his followers without Lolth noticing.

Ravana stands about 20 feet tall, and his tentacle-legs span nearly as wide. These legs can stretch to ridiculous lengths to strike at foes, as can his heads, which sit on long stalks kept inside the monster’s body. He retains little of the intelligence of his component explorers, and acts rather like a spoiled, malicious child. He speaks Abyssal and Draconic, but is usually very short with his words.

Combat
Ravana is cruel and calculating in battle- it is one of his hobbies, and he has grown quite good at it. He usually summons a swarm of cuttlespiders to torment his foes, and then bites at them. If an enemy escapes the cuttlespiders, Ravana grabs them in his tentacles and lets them decompose in his grasp.

Constant Insight (Su): Ravana makes all attack rolls and grapple checks with a +15 insight bonus. He is not affected by the miss chance that applies to attacks made against a concealed target.

Horrid Appearance (Ex): The very visage of Ravana is so mind-bendingly disturbing that any non-pseudonatural creature that sees Ravana takes a –1 morale penalty to their attack rolls against him.

Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, Ravana must hit an opponent with a slam attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. If it wins the grapple check, it gets a hold and can use rotting constriction as well as dealing slam damage every round.

Poison (Ex): The venom of Ravana causes the affected creature to swell hideously and rapidly, eventually immobilizing them for feeding. Bite, DC 39, 1d8 Str/1d8 Str. The save is Constitution based.

Rotting Constriction (Ex): Each successful grapple check Ravana makes while holding an opponent deals to that opponent 2d4 points of Constitution drain. Ravana gains 10 hit points each round he drains Constitution.

Spell-like Abilities: At will- blur, dimension door, shield, unhallow. Caster level 20th

Summon Swarm (Su): Three times per day, Ravana can summon a swarm of cuttlespiders as a standard action. These spiders arrive in 1d4 rounds and serve Ravana for one hour before returning to the Far Realm.

Skills and Feats: Ravana gains a +8 bonus to all Climb checks, and can always take 10 on a Climb check, even is rushed or threatened.
Ravana gains a +18 racial bonus to all Listen, Search and Spot checks, due to his many heads.
The Multigrab feat allows Ravana to grapple an opponent in one tentacle with only a –10 penalty.

And the things he summons...

Cuttlespider Swarm
Diminutive Outsider (Evil, Extraplanar, Swarm)

Hit Dice: 16d8+80 (152 hp)
Initiative: +8
Speed: 30ft (6 squares), swim 30ft
Armor Class: 23 (+8 size, +4 Dex, +1 natural), touch 22, flat-footed 19
Base Attack/Grapple: +16/-
Attack: Swarm (4d6 plus poison and entangle)
Full Attack: Swarm (4d6 plus poison and entangle)
Space/Reach: 10ft/0ft
Special Attacks: Distraction, entangle, poison
Special Qualities: Darkvision 60ft, hivemind, resistance to acid 10 and electricity 10, swarm traits
Saves: Fort +15, Ref +16, Will +11
Abilities: Str 1, Dex 18, Con 20, Int 3, Wis 12, Cha 13
Skills: Hide +48, Listen +19, Move Silently +22, Spot +19, Swim +7
Feats: Ability Focus (entangle, poison), Dodge, Improved Initiative, Lightning Reflexes, Track
Environment: Far Realm
Organization: Solitary, horde (3-6) or madness (11-20)
Challenge Rating: 14
Treasure: None
Alignment: Usually neutral evil
Advancement: -

These nightmarish little creatures surging towards you appear to tiny squid standing on their tentacles. Two long necks emerge from this swarm of legs, each of them capped by a pair of dripping, serrated mandibles. Each one of the creatures is a different eldritch color, and their colors shift constantly.
Cuttlespiders are tiny predators that roam the Far Realm looking for prey.

Each cuttlespider stands an inch or two tall and is merely a pest alone, in a horde they are deadly, as they slow down prey using their own mass. Cuttlespiders are animalistic predators, but they possess a shred of group intelligence.

Combat
Cuttlespiders prefer to attack from ambush, and then overwhelm prey with their own bodies. As their victims are bogged down by the mass of creatures, they are bitten and injected with a mind-altering venom, until they drop into a coma and are consumed.

Distraction (Ex): Any living creature that begins its turn with a cuttlespider swarm in its space must make a Fortitude save (DC 23) or be nauseated for one round. Any creature trying to cast a spell with a cuttlespider swarm in its square must make a Concentration check (DC 20+ spell level) or lose the spell. The save is Constitution based.

Entangle (Ex): Cuttlespiders ooze a thick slime from their tentacles, and spread it on any creatures they attack. Any creature with a cuttlespider swarm in its space must make a Reflex save (DC 24) or be entangled, taking a –2 penalty to attack rolls and a –4 to effective Dexterity. An entangled creature moves at half speed and cannot run or charge. A creature entangled remains so for as long as they remain inside the swarm and for 1d10 rounds thereafter. The save is Dexterity based.

Poison (Ex): The bite of the cuttlespider injects a potent hallucinogen, overwhelming those affected with bizarre visions and a loss of coordination. Swarm, DC 25, 1d4 Dex plus 1d4 Wis/1d4 Dex plus 1d4 Wis. The save DC is Constitution based.

Swarm Traits: Not subject to flanking, sneak attacks or critical hits. They are never staggered, disabled or dying, and cannot be tripped, grappled or bull-rushed. They take half again (+50%) as much damage from any effect that effects an area. Cuttlespiders are immune to all weapon damage, but are susceptible to high winds.

Skills: A cuttlesquid swarm gains a +8 on any Swim check to perform a special action or avoid a hazard. It can always choose to take 10 on a Swim check, even if distracted or endangered. It can use the run action while swimming, provided it swims in a straight line.
Due to their color-changing abilities, a cuttlesquid swarm gains a +10 racial bonus on all Hide checks.

Edit: As if anyone cared, Ravana started out as a Huge monstrous spider (yes, it's CR 5. I forgot about that). Then, it got the multiheaded template, the ELH pseudonatural template, and a few cheats (bumped Int, added summon swarm).

Demiurge out.
