Changelings in The PHB? (Vote)

If they do show up in the PHB, hopefully PrCs like the warshaper will be designed with the race in mind.

QFT. Same with Warforged and other "oddballs" like Elan (who are Aberrations) and Tieflings (if they are Outsiders).

Having the broadest base of PC races means that stuff will be balanced for all of those options.

IMHO it's easier to cut out races for your game than it is to ferret out imbalanced classes which were designed around tacit (invalid) assumptions.

Elf and Dwarf aren't going to challenge a whole lot of design assumptions.

Changelings are one of my favourite races ever, and absolutely what I'd play if I was in an Eberron campaign, or almost any other that allowed them, but I honestly don't think they fit in the PHB.

However, I wouldn't complain if they were.

You think so? Me, I think changelings are easier to work into most settings than shifters, and I've seen far more people interested in (and able to get into) playing changelings than shifters.

To finally answer your question, yes, I think so.

Namely because I think the Shifter could fill the niche that the Half-Orc fills. The Somewhat monstrous, strong brute or wild-man. (Although the Tiefling might fill that role).
