Chapter 6: Character Design

If we require players to take feats for all the weapons they might have, get, or use, then a fighter would need to spend a lot of feats on heavey weapons over his carreer in skies/space.
I don't think so. Keep in mind that in most settings, one or two types of heavy weapons will comprise standard armament for the majority of vessels. Also, I'm considering light and heavy versions of the same type of weapon to fall under the same proficiency. The weapons you included in your component list represent five different proficiencies: ballista, catapult, cannon, advanced cannon and tractor gun.
