Character Concepts - Indiana Jones

Adventurer
It's time again for another Character Concept. This time, I'm finally posting Indiana Jones (whom I said I'd post 3 weeks ago now ). He was quite a fun character to build and see viable.

Let me know what you think, or take a crack at making him yourself; I'd love to see other ideas for this character.

*Special Note* Indie's Battered Old Fedora is an epic tier Philosopher's Crown.

A very human hero I like him. I might build a dexterous fighter brawling perhaps with knockdown assault and various powers that work well with the whip.. I know I wish fighters had more skills ... Detective background nice...

You mentioned Angel ;-p

Yeah, I'd say replace action rush for it. I forgot I scrapped the build with supernal before I made this one.

I have angel just about finished; I just had to make a couple adjustments because the concept is set, but I would prefer to also have him be viable ( /= min-maxxed, just playable and capable of being fun).

lol; tou'che sir. I would say that plays more to his college professor side; seeing as how he practically makes them two separate personalities.

hey ourchair, welcome to the thread.
When I make a concept, I make it for level 26, ensuring that the character is also viable from level 1 up (with some rearranging of feats here and there). By doing this, it sets it up so somebody who wants to play such a character can do so all the way to the current epic level 4e modules; or if they lose a high level character and want to switch up, they can. It's a measure of the character's ability, not a representation of true power (in some cases. I would believe hulk and thor to be truly epic characters.)

Ah, I see.

I get what you're getting at: build max so that they can have a complete growth path to go by.

However, I don't think Indy ever reached epic level ever.

Unless drinking from the grail counts.

I can see it now:

The Holy Grail
Epically Wondrous Item
"Eternal life, Doctor Jones! The gift of youth to whoever drinks from Grail. Oh, now that's a bedtime story I'd like to wake up to!"
Power (Encounter): Minor Action. When you are dying, drink this and be totally healed curing yourself of bullet wounds. You will also live to the age of 93 until George Lucas retcons this action and makes Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Property: The Holy Grail cannot pass beyond the Great Seal. That is the boundary and the price of immortality.
