Since you're interested in healing, what about life cleric with access to druid spells (as your bonus)?

With disciple of life and goodberry you pack 40hp of healing into 1 1st level spell.

thats not how we read disciple of life interacting with goodberry. we read it as having no interaction. However, the dm is nice so he gives us bonus berries equal to the disciple of life value if we have it.

that said, given how our adventuring days typically progress I’m not nearly as worried about out of combat healing as I am in combat healing (especially given the changes made to “dying”).

I like Glamour Bard out of those the most, BA temp hit points are amazing, especially once you hit level 5. Plus you aren't wasting your racial bonus.

yea. The racial bonus essentially translates into +1 con mod Compared to making an equivalent wisdom based character. That’s definitely worth remembering in the comparison.

If you want to supplement the party: You have two front line types in the monk and the fighter. You also have control with the wizard. I'd go with something that provides healing and support, with perhaps a bit of control. That would be cleric, favored soul sorcerer (with a dip into Hexblade?), druid or bard.

However, personally, I would not worry about what the other players have decided to play and would just make the PC that is most intriguing to you. I always have at least 10 1st level PCs ready for me to break them out and start playing them. They're all ideas that tickled my fancy and I thought I'd enjoy. My Aasimar 'waiting in the wings' is a protector aasimar druid. A flying bear intrigued me.

Plus, despite playing Aasimar, none of the other PCs are actually Cha focused; the party could certainly use a "face" and glamour bard certainly qualifies.

Yea, i started at a different place. I genuinely want to play a healer and not because the party “needs” one. We have done plenty of parties with little to no healing so I’m not worried about not having one.

I’m very good at finding mechanical combos I want to try - especially when I limit myself to a general theme. I don’t enjoy playing a character just for the mechanical combo so much though. So I go for mechanics I like and a personality I like. Typically is easier for me to start with a theme and then pick the mechanics I like for it and narrow down from there. Which is where I am now with the 3 choices I have remaining.

So I'm down to:
Glamour Bard
Order Cleric
Life Cleric

Any thoughts or preferences on these 3?

All 3 are solid choices - so really it goes down to preference!

But to evaluate:

Life Cleric: Absolutely unmatched healing. I had one of these in my party at Gen Con (last year :( ). He kept the barbarian and paladin (me) up throughout the adventure with massive amounts of healing. Heavy armor is good for survivability and means you can dump dex if necessary.

Order cleric: never seen one played, but the abilities seems pretty good. Command and Hold Person as bonus actions - multiple times per day! Plus the whole I cast a spell and my ally whacks you is kind of nice. Heavy armor is, again, nice.

Glamour bard: If you want to be a face - this is a pretty good option. Do any other classes even have an ability to charm someone/something and automatically have them not notice the charm - even on a failed save? That's pretty good! And the Charm lasts an hour, again quite good. Command every round (as a bonus action) for a solid minute every short rest is quite good. The bonus HP are decent but not going to match a cleric (that said the Bard in my group has inspiring leader and I've found it heavily affects encounter difficulty when EVERYONE in the group has 9 extra HP on many of the combats).

Personalities I’m thinking of for each character:

Life Cleric who worships Torm and believes he is Torm incarnate. Only heals those that profess faith in him. (Possibly another deity would work better here?)

Glamour Bard that constantly tells the party stories about how current events remind him of something that happened in his past. Very eccentric and talkative.

Order cleric I’ve not got a good one yet.

Of course I’m open to suggestions for any character personality for any of the classes as well

If it doesn't annoy the heck out of the rest of the group: Cleric of Tyr (or Amaunator if still around) or another non-FR deity. Basically has OCD: Camp MUST be set up LIKE THIS, exploration must be done LIKE THIS (nevermind that there are others in the group more qualified than he is), Food must be eaten LIKE THIS, etc. could be fun if not too annoying.

would be amazing payback to one of our players. He loves to make annoying characters.
