Characters I'd like to play

My gaming group often contracts down to two people so we sometimes have campaigns where one person controls a 4-5 member party and the other DMs. I'm currently DMing but we should swap in a few months. When we do, I'll get to have some fun.

The Short Brigade

The Disgruntled Dwarven Fighter. He's LG but absolutely despises humans and elves. He was mugged by a human a few years ago and later humilated by an elven mage. He's convinced all taller races are out to screw him out of everything he has. Thanks to this, he's incredibly paranoid in human cities and tends to be dangerously explosive in dealings with the taller races. He's stubborn and steadfast in his decisions and tends to let his flaming burst waraxe (the only heirloom of his long lost father) do the talking for him. -8/-6 Charisma of course.

The Compassionate Dwarven Cleric. She's the fighter's older sister. She raised him from birth, and despite lots of hard work, she cannot get him to put his anger aside. Her dedication to Moradin is only matched by her motherly love for her little brother. She remembers her mother's death in childbirth and the drow invasion a week later that claimed her father. The fighter and her three friends is all she's ever had.

The Obsessive Gnome Ranger. Goblinoids are fit only for extermination. Giants are slightly better only because their strength generates some measure of respect. His parents were a friend of the dwarven family above. He lost most of his clan to a hobgoblin raid and fell in with the orphan siblings.

The Arrogant Kobold Sorcerer. Yet another orphan, this guy is convinced his parents merely lost him and didn't die or abandon him. He's quite sure they've been looking nonstop for decades. Until then, he's going to waste his amazing talent proving just how amazing he is. He knows he's the greatest sorcerer ever. Dragons will bow to him. Nations will tremble. It'll happen one day. He's sure of it. They'll all see. Until then, he's going to stay diligent and remind his annoyed friends every other minute of just how powerful his fireballs are.

The Reserved Hafling Rogue. Why does she put up with these clowns? Oh yeah. Its because they bring in lots of treasure and are interesting to watch. If only they would stop bickering and distract that Orc just long enough for me to place my hand in his pouch and dagger in his back...

There you go.

Cade Tallowhands - Halfling necromancer. As a young man, he was always fascinated with life and its various forms. He studied animals who had died near the villiage, teaching himself anatomy. Eventually, he was... persuaded to become an apprentice to the local mage. However, his training took a turn when he learned of the art of necromancy. Having finished his training (by being booted out), he has decided to travel and adventure, wanting to learn more about the ways of life. Cade refuses to create undead, considering them an abomination... but he has a habit of collecting skulls from interesting creatures.

Tobias - Half-orc Monk. When his human father's 'activities' were discovered, the infant was smuggled out to a nearby monestary. The half-orc found discipline difficult, but struggled to gain acceptance among the other students. After many years, he has finished studying under the masters, and now must venture out to face the test of living.

Solace - A half-elf sorcerer/rogue or Chaos Mage. Abandoned as a child, he caught the attention of a human nobleman who took him in. During his adolescence, he became the man's companion and courtier. While on a trip to negotiate a purchase, their wagon was attacked by orc bandits and the troupe slaughtered. Only Solace survived, and he was tortured for several days before a rival orc tribe attacked. He escaped during the confusion, and found his way to a nearby town. Having recovered, he has no life left, and will likely fall in with an adventuring party as a matter of survival.

I would like to play a fighter/rogue. I might enjoy going the Conan route and mixing some barbarian into it too. I usually play the spell casters just to help the party out

Second I would like to play a half orc paladin. Thats trite now but years ago when I first though of it (for Rolemaster) it seemed like a fun idea. In a word SMITE

thirs, I would like to play a speed twink, some kind of mix of classes and prestige classes designed for speed and run around attacks and that sort of thing

For Mutants and Masterminds:

Infanticide: He goes back in time and kills the bad guys when they're babies. He can only go back in time, but he doesn't age, so he gets to live out the consequences of his action each time he does this.

In on game i'm playing a dwarven fighter with a "thing" for elven females, but the DM has only had me run int one female elf so far.

My friend John I think came up with this (Donatello on these boards), though it certainly got tossed around by several people in our gaming group:

The Gnomish One-Man Band.

A Gnomish Bard who takes every instrument he ever learns how to play and tinkers them all together in a giant contraption (perhaps eventually the instruments become sort of Golemic Armor). The visual of a Gnomish One-man band is VERY compelling, no?

None of us have done it... yet.
