cheap airfares in american (north and south)?

A day and night in Vegas would be plenty just to see the glitz of the city. Plus there are world-class restaurants in Vegas; the days of the $1.99 buffet are long gone.

It may surprise to learn that many people go to Vegas and do not gamble at all. They spent their time at spas, golf, or see the shows.

EDIT about cuba:
is the strictness applied if the customs see that you had a cuban visa? even if, say, i return to u.s.a. after a couple of months, from europe? bottom line: will i be actively prevented to get a u.s.a. visa just for the fact of having been in cuba once?

Honestly, unless you get exceptionally lucky, you're unlikely to get an accurate response here (I don't think too many of us have even *tried* this)...I might suggest contacting the U.S. Consulate in England, and asking them about what difficulties you might face.

1. Haiti has one of the lowest standards of Living in the Hemisphere. I has a long history of political instability/brutal dictatorships. It's more in-line with a lot of West-African Nations in terms of what is going on (Not Darfur bad, but it's come close a few times). I think the US State department has all sort of warnings about going to Haiti.

2. Cuba. I have a few friends whose parents escaped Cuba. Right now they are limited in how much money they can send relatives in Cuba due to the Embargo. When the MLB had their World-Classic Baseball Tournament, Cuba was going to get cut out, because they actually see some money from it (I think they cut a deal where the money went to charity).

If you have a European Visa & it shows you visited Cuba. Not a big problem. If it shows you just CAME from Cuba, expect a 50/50 shot of customs going through all your stuff.

Kenobi has the best advice, check with your local customs officials, they'll let you know not only about Cuba, but the Caribbean in General (a few of the Islands are still European Territories, Grand Cayman is a British Dependency).

This reminds me of an old saw about perspectives: The major difference between Americans and Europeans is that Americans thinks that 200 years is a long time, and Europeans think 200 miles is a long drive.
BWAHAHAHA! I LOVE this one! QFT!

Yep, Haiti is currently a hot bed of intrigue for coups, civil wars and kidnap/ransomes...W/o getting too close to the political bent, the State Department has Haiti on their list of no goes and disapprovals for non-official travels for US government employees. In otherwords, if you work for the government and you're not on official business, you can't go. (at least and not be covered by diplomatic envoy anyway.)

Basically, its a little shaky as far as stability of government. Same with Cuba (in addition to the embargo), and personally I don't look for it to immediately become stable after Castro's death, he has been dictator for so long and kept no real number two person in line that I expect civil war there for a few years after he's gone.
