I don't think anything is truly set in stone yet. I feel quite bad for our pbartender, so 6/26, Origins or not, sounds like a good choice to me. As far as I'm concerned, I don't care when it is, I don' thtink...

And let me formally announce that there will indeed be HOT GAME TABLE VERSUS GAME TABLE ACTION AT THE NEXT GAMEDAY! :D

Barendd and I are collaborating and co-DMing a fun little gameday tourney, for sure. Prizes you say? That's been discussed earlier in the thead!

Is 6/26 set in stone? I would vote against going head-to-head with Origins.
Are you saying so because you won't be able to make it, or just out of general concern?

I don't know if CGD really goes "head-to-head" with Origins. And, heck, we need to give everyone who can't make it out to OH something to do that weekend. :)

June is a busy month. If we go with one of the first 2 weekends, we go head-to-head with many graduations. The date isn't set in stone, but we ought to make a decision soon before our options are reduced by other events getting scheduled.

If Origins is the only reason to not go with the 26th, then I think it's not reason enough, IMHO.

:Buzz, busily compiling the email list before he has to head off to Easter Dinner.

I won't be able to make it - I have been trying to get to one of these things for a while. However, as I am obviously not a regular ;) I understand catering to the needs of other regulars like Pbartender. Like Thalmin states - June is a busy month - oh well.

Not that this means anything to everyone else, but later-half June is far better then the first half of the month for myself and a few of the others that would be coming out with/along me. Again, that may not mean all too much, just throwing my vote out as a "GM of the Day". ;)

I would agree with Buzz though that Origins is not enough reason not to do a CGPD. (I think CGPD is better then CGD simply because its "Chicago Games Plus Day" and Curt and Jeff (and GP staff) are great sports and are always here for us Chicago-land gamers.) :D

And yes, that was a double negitive. :p

I vote for June 26th. It will avoid conflicts with graduations and Father's Day. (We once had a Gameday around Valentine's Day. As I recall, attendance was sparse.)

I doubt I can create something new to run, however, I can serve as a backup GM and run something from a previous Gameday if we have a lot of walk-ins. (I volunteered to do so in the past. If we have a DM dropout, like we had last time, I am willing to fill in as well.) Additionally, I think we should try to let other gaming websites know about the Gameday -- we can attract some new people.

Looking forward to June.
