(I'm a soiled slave! With this chafing, what possible difference can I make?!" - Russell Crowe from the trailer Urinator) :D

I'm at a loss...I don't think any response to this remark would be adequate or near funny enough to justify the time it would take to type :D.

Sadly, I've confirmed that real life will intrude and I won't be able to come to Chicago on the 15th after all. Sorry folks! Hope to see you next time around, though.

Boo! :(

Well, it's a good thing I didn't decide to run the D*M game then. :)

Can I ask a hypothetical question? Am I going to get more players if I run my supers game as a Mutants & Masterminds game? Because if that's what it takes, I'd rather know now before I make too many characters and do too much writing for Aberrant. I picked up M&M yesterday and have polished it off cover to cover.

Updated! :) As always, let me know if something has been missed or is incorrect, please. :)

I'm betting it is likely. Have you mentioned the Aberrant game over on the RPGnet (link in sig)? I know they have a good following there. However, from this board, I think more would be attracted to trying M&M. *shrug*

As far as getting more players in general, that's a matter of everyone keeping the thread active and encouraging people to sign up quickly.

Hey Mark... Are you not running a game in the afternoon?

It looks like there are plenty of games being run, doesn't it? Before you ask, the separate room was used by the RPGNet gameday to chat, set up other gameday things, etc, and it turned out to be a perfect use for it. Since we do not have enough games to worry about needing the extra table in there for an actual game, we'll use it as our discussion area as well. Did I figure out your plan...? *raises eyebrows*

Yep, I hyped it over there on Thursday. I would give it one more day, but then I saw how many people expressed an interest in M&M during the Players' Call. And I really want to start writing.

All right. I had a time this weekend when I was thinking about dual-statting the adventure in both systems, but that would be insane. Would it be a problem changing the system of my afternoon game to Mutants & Masterminds? You can keep the same write-up; I'm going to run the game in the Aberrant universe. Keep the best of both worlds, so to speak. :)

Would there be people who are free in the afternoon who'd be willing to play M&M over Aberrant?

Sounds good Mike! I've updated your listing to reflect the change as "d20 M&M rules - Aberrant setting" so I think you're all set. You may wish to edit any other posts to also say that, or at least make a new post over at RPGNet to let people know what the current plan is. Thanks! :)

Thanks very much Mark. Your flexibility is appreciated.

You're quite welcome. Glad to be able to accomodate your plans. :)

Anyone else who may need something adjusted in their summary or set up, just let me know and we'll try to work that out. :)

Couple of notes on how I want to run M&M:

Power Level for PCs will be 8. Since this is being run in Aberrant's universe, Mutation is the most common origin for powers.

I'll be using d20 Modern's skill descriptions whole-hog for this M&M game. They offer a better variety of skills and skill check opportunities and I think they only add to what I've found to be a marvelous supers system in Mutants & Masterminds. If you don't have d20 Modern, don't sweat it; you can use the M&M skill system without much problem if you want to generate a character.

Hope some of you will consider playing!

Mike
