Lots to cover, so I'll get right to it!!
** Let me begin with the Games Plus itself -- what a great store! I bought two books and a giant d20, and had to make a Willpower Save to avoid other purchases. The product array is fantastic, and the wholly separate gaming area is quite nice. I'll be back shopping at Game Plus the next time I'm in Chicago

.
** I want to thank Curt, Mark and Matty, for arranging all of the fun. It was a great event, and I look forward to participating in more of the Chicago Gamedays going forward.
** In the morning session I had the great pleasure of playing Tordek as a 10th level tank. He and his companions were entrusted with guarding a rather obnoxious King...whose entire family was comprised of dispicable and loathesome (at least to Tordek) people of low morality and questionable character. Being the proud possessor of a CHA 6, Tordek spent most of the mission grumbling about how much he hated the King and his progeny. What's even funnier, is that on reflection, almost all of these insults and curses were four words in length. Thus, phrases like "your family sickens me!" and "you turn my stomach!" were born. Of course, there were some more colorful dwarven insults...but these simple outbursts were more memorable. This session also included Lidda sneak attacking the King's cousin while he performed a simple magic trick (OOPS!); Mialee blowing up a gnome assassin hiding under a commode (and the commode itself) when a poorly used
wall of fire mixed with the methane gas in that area; and Jozan's repeated attempts to rebuke the advances of the King's oldest son

.
** The afternoon session was my first experience with CoC, and I loved it!! After deciding that our group of student archaeologists needed a female to round things out, I created Liv Winslow...who had a high WIS and DEX, and lots of moxie. Liv was a bit overly curious for a Cthulhu campaign, but damn she rolled well. Despite being the first to encounter several horrors, she was only down three sanity points when the game was called. Although, she probably owes her life to Max's
timely demise -- because the monsters only needed one sacrifice, and this allowed the paralyzed Liv to survive. Buzz's Rex was great comic relief; Dinkeldog's Tim made a terrifying homicidal maniac once he lost his mind; Barendd's Iggy certainly knows when to run; and well...Max dies nicely

. Thanks for a fantastic first experience with CoC Matty, and I promise to keep working on those
notice checks

.
** Finally, I always enjoy the opportunity to meet some of the fine people I know from these Boards. Eric, Anthony, Mark, Greg, Matt and everyone else -- it was great meeting and gaming with you! Kent, I'm especially glad I was finally able to meet you, so that I could thank you in person for getting me an Orc & Pie t-shirt at last year's GenCon.
Take care everyone, and I hope to see you all next time out.
