Hey Buzz, here is my two cents:

1st) I agree that holding off on the sign-up thread until at least 4 weeks ahead of the Gameday would be a good idea. It gives plenty of time for life to interfere with our best-laid plans.

2nd) Here is a list of the local pizza joints. We should at least keep an eye out for good coupons if we don't want to approach them for a discount.
Giordano's of Mt Prospect
1800 S Elmhurst Rd
Mount Prospect, IL 60056-5711
Phone: (847) 290-8000

Lou Malnati's Pizzeria
Carry Outs & Deliveries
1504 N Elmhurst Rd
Mount Prospect, IL 60056-1011
Phone: (847) 590-1900

Mr Beef & Pizza
1796 S Elmhurst Rd
Mount Prospect, IL 60056-5710
Phone: (847) 228-1210

Pizza Hut
905 E Rand Rd
Mount Prospect, IL 60056-2570
Phone: (847) 870-8583

Rufini's Pizzeria & Eatery
2 W Busse Ave
Mount Prospect, IL 60056-3216
Phone: (847) 577-9999

3rd) I think giving the GMs first crack at the prizes is a great idea. I am assuming that you would roll randomly amongst the GMs and then all registered attendees as per normal?

4th) Not that I wish to put a cap on attendance, but I think more than 6 events per slot would be too loud and crowded. A thought though is that we could put a table out back of the shop and let one event be "alfresco", weather permitting.

5th) A good use of this thread might be to keep tabs on the hunt for prize support. Who has contacted whom and when. That way we can avoid double-teaming any one company and make the most of our efforts. Personally, I will contact Green Ronin and Troll Lords as I am running an event for each. Unless, that is, someone already has or someone has an "in" with either company. Networking works in the business world, why shouldn't we use it to ensure the best Gameday ever!

Wow, I guess two cents buys allot nowadays. :D

Let me voice that giving first choice of the prizes to the DMs is a good idea. And to wet their wistles, let me remind them that I will be donating 4 rare and unused RPGs.

Do you have a RPG game based on tabloid magazines? Well, my friend, you could. I will be placing Pandemonium up on the prize tale.

If tabloids don't scratch your particular RPG itch, then maybe I can appeal to your darker side with the famous RPG, BOB, Lord of Evil. Toss aside your CoC books and enter into a new realm of horror.

Do you find you always insert the wrong keys into your locks or when putting your shoes on in the dark you always place the left shoe on the right foot? How about when you get up in the middle of the night to pee, do you hear the stream bouncing off of the closed toilet lid? Well, then do I have the game for you. Murphy's World, Where Things Can ALWAYS Get Worse.

Fine, all of those choices too creative for your gaming mind. I have the challenging and engaging fantasy RPG, Dawnfire. I am not sure what it is about, but I do not thik it is the burning sensation of your morning urination.

Please don't all thank me at once for donating these priceless unused and unread RPG books. I won them with other books when bidding on EBay and I immediately thought of my friends at the gameday.

Of the pizza joints Reid has listed I will vote for Giordano's. I can get Pizza Hut anywhere (and it isn't that good to begin with); I know nothing of Lou Malnati's or Rufini's; and I categorically refuse to order pizza from a place called Mr. Beef & Pizza!! That just sounds like the type of place where you can get roadkill added as a topping if you bring it in fresh.

giordanos is da bomb - there's one by my place on Sheridan ave. lou malnatti's i've had, but that was so long ago i don't remember what it was like.

I've had pizza from most of these places (except Mr. Beef, but I've eaten there. Nuff said.) You didn't list my favorite, Tortoricie's. Don't know about a discount, but they deliver to the store all the time. Alas, no feta cheese on the menu. Toppings available:
Sausage
Pepperoni
Bacon
Canadian Bacon
Roast Beef
Meatball
Chicken
Green Peppers
Onions
Black Olives
Green Olives
Mushrooms
Tomatoes
Spinach
Broccoli
Fresh Mushrooms
Zuchinni
Fresh Garlic
Pineapple
Hot Giardiniera
Artichoke
Jalapenos
ANCHOVIES
Shrimp
Ricotta
Potatoes

Bar-B-Que or Spicy sauce available on request.

They make thin crust, double dough, pan, Chicago, stuffed, and Picasso styles.

I've shared many a tasty pie from Tortoricie's with Curt at the store, and I've got to agree. Friggin fantastic. I'll be a temporary addition to any table that gets Tortoricie's if my table is not getting it. :d

Totorices?!? They order that at dang near every meeting that goes over the lunch hour at work, so I've had it a number of times, and it's been okay-but-never-great. I've had Lou Malnatti's pizza in N-ville, and it was waaay better than the stuff I've had from Totorices.

With this much advance notice, I just might be able to make this one...

Is the date officially July 9? And is there a sign-up thread somewhere?
