Please, make my morning event my STAR WARS SAGA game, as I have had a request to make it available at that time instead of the afternoon. Any table in the back would be grand!

As for my afternoon event, that will be something in the new PIRATES OF THE SPANISH MAIN RPG. I recently painted a ghost crew and a resin pirate ship that can be used as a prop for the game. (I'll try and post a pic or something.)
Two bleeding-edge releases, added to schedule.

Hm. I don't see anything that grabs me yet, so I guess I'll have to step up again and run something that does.

So, put me down for an evening slot of Primitive, for up to 6 players.

For those that have not been living in a cave, Primitive is a game of prehistoric tribal cooperation, discovery, and mayhem. Players will become members of a small clan of early humans who walk (mostly) upright, and exhibit a high degree of curiosity, intelligence, and problem solving ability. There's just one small detail.

They haven't discovered language yet.

Anybody remember that one caveman game where you could only use ten words? That game was for pussies. Characters in Primitive can't speak AT ALL. And neither can the players (well, except to the GM if they need to). Gestures, grunts, and sketches are your only tools for communication among the tribe. Can you help each other survive the harsh realities of day to day prehistory despite your lack of language?

Players will need to bring 2 distinct and matching tokens to represent themselves on the map and the initiative queue. Shiny rocks, bits of bone, small shells, or other natural or "found" items are best, preferably around the size of standard gaming bead counters. Everything else will be provided.

Primitive is a simple, straightforward game that can be explained in minutes. Every copy is personally hand-stitched together by the author, Kevin J. Allen Jr. All that, and it's cheap, too.

So come join us for some grunting, stomping, club-swingin' good times!

(And for those of you who think this sounds like a goofy, joke of a game- trust me, it's not. It's more rewarding than you'd think.)

OK, here goes. Buzz, put me down for running a game in slot 2. Aces & Eights western rpg. I am in contact with Kenzer & Co. and the game should be out in early June. Game description will have to be sketchy until I have more info. But I should be able to handle 6 players. BTW, I will step down if I can get someone from Kenzer to come in and run this. ;)
Thalmin-

That sounds wildly cool. Yay, western RPGs! I miss Boot Hill. I put a pitch out to the good folks at Kenzer in the Hackmaster thread above, as well. Given the good buzz about the game from GAMA, I might just have to grab me one, pardner.

Nev-

No offense, but it kinda does sound goofy. OTOH, it also sounds pretty entertaining to watch, even if you were not playing. :D

(Would it be cheating to teach each other sign language, kind of like a sociologist experiment with apes?)

Well, folks, it looks like we're full-up! Seven and seven... at least until the usual last-minute cancellations. ;) And, dag, front-loaded on D&D in the morning, and not even a little bit in the afternoon! A nice mix.

Anyway, that just means that time has come to formalize your event descriptions and post them here, if you haven't already. The sign-up thread probably won't need to start until the beginning of June, so we've got time.

Side question:

I was thinking of moving the pre-gaming breakfast to the Le Peep across the street from GP, assuming they can give us a big table and separate checks. The proximity means no one needs a ride to the store, and the food is trés awesome. The downside, though is that it's not quite as inexpensive as Little America.

Opinions, one way or the other?

Laurie (Mrs. Vyvyan) might be more excited about the move to Le Peep than the events themselves (although she thinks Primitive sounds really fun). :D

She also wants me to point out that if anyone has the Entertainment Book there is a coupon for Le Peep in there.

We've eaten there the last two game days and I agree with Buzz that the food is good.
