I pulled out the most horrific 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' imagery I could muster and they left feeling sorry for him. One guy wanted to kill him just to spare him the humiliation.

When they put things together later and go to visit him a second time, and confront him with various things and he grins, obviously not a drooling idiot, one guy goes "That's my man, Vik! I knew they didn't break him!"


Delicious! It's so important to have villains who command the PCs respect. You gotta post me more splendid tidbits after you run Hell's Heart Wayne (and everyone!).

Here's hoping! Don't worry though, until the end of Chimes, there is little that can derail possible Hell's Heart fun, and even so, it's all fixable somehow. But I hear ya, I'll be happy when people can just have all three in hand so they can tweak and play with him however they want from day one of the arc. Enjoy blargney! If you need a hand with anything or have any questions just post em up here and I'll be happy to chime in, and I'm sure other DMs who've run em can offer some great insights like those posted above here.

Try not to kill off Scrimshaw...but hey, he can be replaced if necessary (there's a sidebar about this). I think that's it. You may want to leave Rregla alive for another adventure I'm working on right now, but truth be told, I don't even know if this one will see print...so fear not.
 

Cool, thanks Nicolas! I'm going to run these adventures, the Shards mini-path, and Voyage of the Golden Dragon simultaneously. Temple of the Scorpion God mixes perfectly with Voyage, and a failed/completely missed Pit of the Fire Lord makes a great setup for Quoth. The whole mixture was inspired just by reading Quoth, and I'm seriously looking forward to running it.

I just read the whole trilogy, and I am really impressed with it. Mr. Logue, you remind me of why I loved Batman: the Animated Series. I need to step up my game for the adventures I'm writing from now on.

Yeah, I'm sad to see Viktor go. But new vistas, and hopefully new diabolical villains await. I can't wait to write more Eberron adventures, but none in the pipe right now. I need to submit a ton to DI.

I have two dooozies above ten. One is twelfth, the other is fourteenth...both very tasty. One is my favorite adventure of all time...here's hoping. I'll submit them soon.
