Chiming in on the D&D minis (merged with "anyone buying the new Mini's?")

Wow, some of you spend WAY too much time on here - thousands of posts?

Indeed, I do this better than you.

Deep concern with how long a post has been active or not?

Very deep. About 6 feet deep, I'd say.

What form of undead concerns itself with such things?

I'm evil Ash.

What does your response have to do with the topic of the thread?

You seem to have developed? At the end of your sentences? This strange rising inflection?

Do you have any of the new minis?

Personally, I think the new mini is a travesty of the name. It's just an attempt to cash in on a famous icon of the swinging 60s. Alec Issigonis is no doubt turning over in his grave right now, at about 3,000 rpm.

What do you think of them?

On the other hand, it's better than the new beetle, since it's at least practical to drive.

Do you like the ghouls?

I must do, that's why I keep posting to them.

See - isn't that more interesting than counting the days between posts in a particular thread?

Not really.

I have mixed feelings on the mini's. For the price they are good but I still miss the work and joy in paiting up set mini's. Also, I enjoy shopping around to find creatures and objects in toy stores and book stores that I can use. I am abit dismayed by the rarety/overall set. For 80 figures, there are something like 20 commons, 33 uncommons and 27 rares. I really don't like those numbers.

If I may ask, why do you not like those numbers?

Because of the packaging - 1 Rare, 3 Uncommons and 4 Commons in a booster - the ratio of different figures ends up something different than those numbers imply.

Thus, if you get a "perfect" distribution, 27 boosters will give you 1 of every rare, 2.45 of each uncommon, and 5.2 of each common. That's a remarkably flat for a collectable miniature game - or collectable game of any sort!

Cheers!
