Chromatic Lizardfolk Subraces (updated: 06/19)

So here’s another thought: The Emerald Thorn’s (green lizardfolk) Chameleon ability – I like the idea of them being able to blend and hide even without cover or concealment, as long as they have a surface to place their body against. That’s a pretty powerful change, though; better than a 13th level ranger’s Camouflage ability, who is restricted to natural environments. So, what should be an appropriate penalty to allow them to try something like this? -5? -10? Only ½ Hide skill? Would it be better to only give this ability once they get their second boost to Hide at 3rd level, encouraging them to stay in the racial class?

It is a powerful ability indeed, would expanding the class to 5 levels and granting the Supreme Chamaleonic Skin ( :p ) at the last level be in line?

OR

Lizardfolk Feats (Lizardfolk is a prereq.)
Supreme Chamaleonic Skin
Prerequisites: Lizardfolk, 9 ranks in Hide
Benefit: -Here goes your imput-

'Kay - added the last subrace to the first post - Frost Fangs (white lizardfolk).

Comments are still welcome on this or any of the other subraces.

Ker-bump.

Actually, I think I'm homing in on the final versions of these guys. I went ahead and added a Sprint ability for the Blues, a lesser Hide In Plain Sight ability for the Greens, and Gliding for the Whites, all in the first post.
