Circle Kick (S&F) replaced by Roundabout Kick (CW)?

Hi all...
As the title suggests... Has the circle kick feat been replaced by the roundabout kick feat, or is it (circle kick) still a viable option for a 3.5 Monk?

thanks...

I can only guess... if they would have wanted to replace the roundabout kick, they wouldn't have used a new name.

I think circle kick may have been dropped because it was a stupidly designed feat which became worthless once you got your first iterative attack. No feat should have built-in obsolescence!

Hey PS.
You're saying... that a 10th level monk, with his 3 flurry attacks wouldn't get an extra attack from Circle Kick, if one of his attacks hit?

Circle Kick
You kick multiple opponents w/the same attack action.
Prereq.: BAB +3, Imp. unarmed strike, DEX 15+
Benefit: a successful unarmed attack roll allows you to make a second roll against a different opponent that is within the area you threaten. This feat requires the full attack action.

From the Sword and Fist FAQ:

How does the Circle Kick feat work for a monk or
other character with multiple attacks? Or for a monk
who uses a flurry of blows? Does each successful unarmed
attack roll allow a second attack against a different
opponent?

A character using Circle Kick makes one attack. If this
single attack hits, the character makes a second attack at the
same attack bonus as the first.

How does the Dirty Fighting feat work with multiple
attacks?

Just as with Circle Kick (see previous question), a
character using Dirty Fighting makes one attack and adds an
extra 1d4 points of damage if the attack succeeds. Dirty
fighting is not effective against opponents that are not subject
to critical hits.
Dirty Fighting isn’t a bad deal if you’re allowed only one
attack a round, but it’s not a great option for high-level
characters. You might consider an Improved Dirty Fighting
feat:

My recall (which may be imperfect!) is that Circle Kick was considered a full attack action so you could either do a Circle Kick (with the potential of two attacks) OR a full attack - but you couldn't combine the two - it's not like a kung fu version of cleave which requires a hit rather than a kill in order to get an extra attack (which would seem rather powerful)

Maybe it isn't as bad as I remember from the earlier discussions when S&F appeared, if it essentially allows the cinematic "kick against two opponents" thing, but considering that any monk could flurry and be guaranteed to have an attack against two opponents in a full attack without using this feat...

I think it is an OK idea, poorly implemented - but I'm happy to be corrected if I got hold of the wrong end of the stick!

Cheers
