[Circvs Maximvs] Pit Fiend vs. Balor

Over at Circvs Maximvs, Hobo Sapiens started a thread, a sort of PbP thread wherein two people (Reveal and myself) take the role of a Pit Fiend and a Balor in a battle royale.

It quickly turns quite ridiculous (and includes witty play-by-plays from the "announcers").

In which a three-way battle between a Pit Fiend, a Balor and a Solar takes place. That's going on currently, and also has turned a bit ridiculous.

Read the first one before starting on the second. The second thread's existence is based on the first.

der-kluge, I'm all for people coming over to CM, but I think we should warn folks that it is at least ENWorld's crude sister board.

Not grandma approved at all.

There still is quality gaming stuff to be gleaned from there though.

Well...in our defense, we were running it while everyone but myself was at work, two days before Christmas holidays.

Effectively, it seems that a pit fiend and a balor practically stalemate, and the pit fiend has a better chance of killing a solar than the balor. No wonder the Blood War rages forever...

Agreed, I read over the fights and its just a brutal stalemate for the most part. However, it actually got me to go over and check out circus maximus which I've never done!

Yah. If my rolls hadn't been such crap, I had a chance with the imprisonment and implosion powers, but then we realized that ultimately it would boil down to the pit fiend or balor having to summon something that casts damaging [evil] spells to take down the solar.

It may continue on, but once we realized it was a stalemate, it took the fun out of it.
