City of 'Angel'?

In reading the "Ten Things You Need To Know About Eberron" item about alingment that mentions good vampires, the slavering Whedon fanboy in me immediately thought of 'Angel'. I mean: fantasy, noir, pulp action? Sounds like 'Angel' to me.

So, you got'cher good vampire with a soul (Angel), yer knowledgeable mystic (Wesley), yer scholarly tinkerer (Fred), yer hot-blooded fighter for the cause (Gunn), yer heart n' soul with ties to the Powers That Be (Cordy), and your charismatic faceman who knows the udnerworld (Lorne).

I.e., vampire paladin, wizard/loremaster, artificer, fighter/barbarian, cleric/diviner, and tiefling bard. Call them The Company of Angel's Investigators, stick them in Sharn, and you're off.

Eberron is everything, everything is Eberron.

I think of Gunn as more of a ranger, instead of a fighter/barbarian, otherwise I completely agree.
An urban ranger, maybe. There's a certian level of badass/anger in Gunn that just says "barbarian" to me, though.

If I recall, wasn't there a recent supplement with a rage feat? Actually, this concept might work. Of course, what classes would Spike have -- fighter/bard?

I bet UA had the rage feat, though I'm not sure.

As for Spike... fighter/bard seems to fit the bill, though he might have some rogue in him as well.

I might have to run this for the next Gameday. :)

Sounds likea plan. You could also stat some "Buffy" characters for fun. (The fights between Spike and Angel over Buffy always made me laugh.)
