"Thank you for your help, Saundra. If there is anything we can do to help in these difficult times you need only ask."

Turning to look at Jeffery, "Perhaps you would be so kind as to show us to the scene of where the baron was found? Also I should very much like to speak with Dig, should he be avaliable."

"Why yes my lord," Jeffery says with a bow, "Right this way." Leading you down the hall to a study. You enter a room with large bay windows along the back of the room, in the middle of the floor infront of a highback red chair is a large pool of blood. On the small table beside the chair is what appears to be a pewter cup tipped over on the table.

"I shall go see if I can find that Metal contraption and bring him in for you sirs, Do you require anything else before I go?"

"Well he had asked me for a cup of Tharnberry tea, not personally my favorite, about 2 hours before the event. Then about an hour before he died he called for me and asked me if I had heard footsteps or was walking up the hall. I answered, "no" and went to get him another cup of tea. Twenty minutes before he died I delivered his tea and he told me "that my services were not needed anymore this evening to retire" I quote it because usually he was more friendly. But none the less an early night is an early night and I retired to my quarters that is until I heard the scream of ma'lady." He takes a breath and lookes up for a second obviously thinking, "Is there anything else you require?"

In the cup you see a green liquid almost syurp-like in thickness on the inside and in a small puddle beside the cup.[/sblock]

Pyrelius

Pyrelius walks over and grabs the cup he sniffs it briefly before handing it over to whomever looks more qualified.

"What in the ancestors name is that?"

"I would say an hour after I was sent to my quarters, about 3 hours after the setting sun." he answers to the best of his ability.

"His masters tea I believe," Jeffery answers even though you don't show him the cup.

Garan grins and points to the cup Pyrelius holds before speaking. "I don't know much about fancy things, but looks like a tea cup to me." He pauses for a second before speaking again. "That green stuff looks like what we found earlier. I don't know much about poison or anything, but if I were to guess he might've known he'd die. Seeing as how beaten we found 'em, he might have tried to poison himself before whoever got to him. Maybe he's the one to cut his own throat too if he was attacked sooner than he thought."

He pauses once again before shrugging and adding another statement. "'Course, like I said I don't know much about poisons. That stuff could be medicine or something these types of people use to flavor their tea."

Was there a particular reason why it took you over half an hour to deliver the second cup of tea? I would have thought you would have a full pot brewed, and that it would only need heating up. remarks Lark

"I am sorry sir as it was late I only had enough hot water brewed for one cup so when m'lord asked for another I had to boil a second pot. Usually he only askes for one glass." Jeffery replies with a slight disgust in his voice as he believes you are making him a suspect.
