"She was out. Sometime after I was sent to bed she must have arrived. I was not expecting her for another 3 days or I would have stayed up. Either Agatha or Dig must have answered the door as I didn't hear the knock," Jeffery seems upset that he didn't notice when his baroness had arrived back.

"Sir, we don't hire bodyguards...m' lord believed they were backstabbing money mongers, so he never hired them, to my protest," Jeffery seems to trail off.

"I will go find Dig,"
Jeffery bows and walks out of the room.

Pyrelius was about to go and get this dig himself, but now is left alone with the others.

He grunts, "I'm following him, I can't stand it in here. Too small."

He follows Jeffrey as he goes to fetch Dig. He is clearly agitated and wishes to leave.

Lark walks over to Tori and whispers [sblock=wmasters] Don't point out to people when their stories don't match. :] I noticed and planned to ask the guards at the city gate what time the Barroness returned to the city.[/sblock]

Something apparently catches Leyton's intrest, and he intterupts, speaking to the butler.

"Sir, on second glance, perhaps I do have a question...where did you get the cup? Did your master fetch it himself, or did you supply it along with the tea? When you made the unusual second pot, did you fetch him a fresh cup? Or did he use one he already had?"

Unfortunately Jeffery is alreay on his way outside with Pyrelius and your questions fall on deaf ears.

"Damn those two ask alot of questions, the other two are very still not even talking," Jeffery drops the air of nobility that he has had in his voice as he talks to Pyrelius. "They just don't know when to quit, not like I know everything around here, geez!" Jeffery seems quite agitated that these two would accuse him of such a thing.

[sblock=Pyrelius] You follow Jeffery outside as he goes to the rose garden. "Where is that metal contraption?" Jeffery mutters to himself. After a time you notice that Jeffery seems quite distraught. "I can't find that hunk of junk and no there is no where for him to go. This is the only place he knows...unless but no...he is being held by officers at his home. So where is he!"[/sblock]

Pyrelius raises an eyebrow.

"Where else might he be? I have little desire to sit inside listening to questions. Jango and I wouldn't mind some quick searching."

[sblock=Pyrelius] Jeffery answers you almost absent mindedly, "There is a local merchant that stopped in earlier this week. Burl Odom I think is his name. He met with Dig and then left. I assumed it was for Dig to do his garden. But..." Jeffery trails off. "He is not that type, but...... it is all he knows."[/sblock]

Everyone else:
You are left to search the room at your lesiure. You find that the window nearest the foot prints is missing a small section near the bottom. Someone had cut a hole to open the window. One of the books is missing you can tell because the bookcase is clean under where the book had been sitting. You can guess that it has some ancient text in it as all the remaining books are quite old. The cup seems to have a large amount of residue on the bottom of the cup but it doesn't look completely melted, which you can infer would mean that it had to be put in while the tea was cooling not while it was steaming.

"Tell me where this Bud lives "

As soon as he hears the information he will instruct jeffrey to tell the others before setting out himself.

[sblock=Pyrelius] "His name is Burl, he lives across the river in the merchants quarter. Why? You don't plan on going do you? Wait here I will get your comrades." Jeffery runs off.[/sblock]

While looking around the room you suddenly hear Jeffery running towards you, "Sirs Dig is missing he must be at the merchant Burl Odom's place. He visited Dig a few days before the murder. Must have convinced him to kill m' lord. Your friend is waiting for you outside with directions to his manner please hurry!"

[sblock=Jonnyfive] You will hear this all from the kitchen.[/sblock]
