Jack raises his cup in greeting to the Mongrelite priest.

"It's beautiful, chum," Jack compliments. "I'm certain that braod sides of barns everywhere are quaking in their boots."

"Hrm... Let's see..." Jack has to think for a moment, tipping his glass to each person he's been introduced to thus far. "There's Eskon and Eusebius -- both of them trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent servants of Hyrag -- a paladin and a preist, if I'm not mistaken, who are always prepared to do a good turn daily.
"The exceptionally tall halfling here -- or perhaps he's an exceptionally skinny dwarf, I forget which -- is Talbin Longstrider, and the lovely halfling filling her glass at the bar is Irene, a magician of some sort, I believe.
"I'm afraid I don't know any of the others, as they are too timid to introduce themselves to such a bold group of adventurous veterans," Jack concludes, having said all this with the same tone someone might use when answering a question such as
What did you buy at the market today?
"Oh, and Veras-re's around here sulking in a corner somewhere... He didn't have an axe the last time you saw him, did he?"
