"Veteran?" Opales smiles, hiding her laugh. "Saving villagers and kobold from a shapeshifter, that's enough to become a veteran?"

"Oh, not necessarily... But intervening in a wizard's feud between brothers, cleansing a construction site of evil for the consecration of a temple to Hyrag, and then saving villagers and kobolds from a shapeshifter... I'd suspect that's pretty close."

Jack grins, "That little romp in Grenton wasn't the first go around for all of us there."

"Well, upstairs I go for a quick elf nap. Let me know if any exciting opportunities crop up."

After only a few minutes, Planus comes sprinting down the stairs, taking them three at a time. "Guess what!" Not allowing any time for a guess he continues, "Mongrel just told me something really exciting is going on that way!" He points north through the wall. "Something about nets of darkness and figures of darkness and darkness covering the world. Something about a dark iron hammer too and sharks *growl* swimming up on the land. And poor little birds getting eaten, or transformed into dark monkeys with wings. Doesn't that sound exciting? Who wants to go with me? Oh, I hope we can help the poor little birds."

OOC: This is an extra recruitment for Patlin's adventure - A Clash of Earth and Sea. He has said that characters below 3rd level won't surivive, and that he would like one to three characters. I'm not sure what the next step is, whether Patlin will open a new adventure thread or have us jump over to the current one. Patlin?

"Are you sure you havn't just hit your head in your dark room and hallucinate a bit?" suggest Opale, half serious. "If I didn't knew you, I would be believing that. I must tell that anything will be better than remaining here while the Tournament is on. You talk about shark and bird? I might need to pay a visit to Rillithorne, in hope he has a few things I would like on me. Jack, what do you think of that? You want to stay around with all the noise or get out of the city for a while?"

"I'm game," Jack answers, finishing off the last in a long and illustrious line of mugs of beer.

"Just give me a few minutes to go saddle up Rover, and I'll be ready to go."

Planus says with a broad smile, "Of course it sounds that way. That's how I know it is from Mongrel. Let's be off then!" Planus exits the inn to wait for Jack to bring Rover around.

I do agree it would make far less sense for someone Planus didn't know to take his word for it.
