"Why yes, 'tis I. Recognized my vibrant baritone voice, did you?"

Irene walks over to the young visitor and gives him a rub on the back. "I'm sorry to hear what happened to your father, ehm... I don't think I got your name yet. I'm Irene, magician and very annoyed, hearing of such cowardly actions and evil men. If you want, I'll help to track 'em down and punish them for what they did to your father."
She smiles at the boy as she offers her services to the kid, then says "Now look at you, all shook up. Let's get you something to eat and drink..."

Yes, that was a invigorating song. Someone with such talent is always welcome.

Rhys watches Irene with the boy. It seems our party is beginning to grow.

Eskon approaches the boy.

"I'd like to offer my services to you, as well. The loss of your father must be quite difficult for you, but I'd like to ease your suffering by bringing these people to justice. This Brandovold fellow, especially."

Eskon looks to his companions.

"I am a paladin of Hyrag, to give you some idea of what I can bring to the group. And, yes, I know paladins have a reputation for being difficult to work with, but I am a relatively tolerant sort. I realize my path is my own and lead by example rather than condescending intolerance. I hope you find room for me in this most noble endeavor."

"Did someone ask for true heroes?" he says as he strides over to the boy.

He extends a hand to the boy. "Bran Olvant, Treasure Hunter Extraordinaire and True Hero, at your service."
*The boy shakes Bran's offered hand.*

"Thank you, sir. Yes, I am looking for true heroes to help capture a murderer."

"Thank you, my lady Irene. You are very kind. My name is Bret, milady," he smiles slightly, brightened by her attempts to cheer him up.

"A paladin! Wow, really! Paladins are so cool! So you're like a real hero, a knight in shining armour? My father would be glad to know a paladin of Hyrag was there to catch his murderer. I hear one of the last things my father did before he died was call out to Hyrag..."

(OOC: I'll be at Gencon tomorrow evening, but so far we have Rhys, Bran, Irene, Eskon. There will be some more RDI NPC interactions, but I'll wait to see if we get a few more yet :))

A sturdy dwarf enters the inn wearing what seems to be the outfit and tools of a smith.
A large steel pendant of a mountain with a face within hangs form his neck.
"Geertings all! My name is Findoram Hammerhand, master smith and servant of the High King!" He bellows across the inn. "I can service you with my skills at the forge and i can enlighten you with the words if the High King! I will be at the bar should you require steel or salvation!"
He walks up to the bar and orders a mug of ale from Joe.

*The boy Bret looks over at the newcomer and asks the four adventurers who are with him:*

"Do you think he could help catch the killer? There are six in Anton's band, so maybe we should wait for six as well unless you think you can stop them with fewer?"
