Eskon listens and replies.

"I do not want this man to escape, but this this talk of a silver dragon...well, it disturbs me a bit. Even if the claim is exaggerated a great deal, the fact that this band can believably make the claim points to their dangerous nature. We should be very careful."

"Nonsense!" he says. " We can take them. We are great heroes. I say we get on the road first thing tommorrow."

"Well met! You may call me Findoram indeed! I have no fears for the strength of this companionship! With the High King watching over us we count as any group of six, maybe even more!" Findoram bellows with a merry laughter. He eyes the goblin member for a few seconds and murmles "Although some compensation is in place".
"As far for riding.. well.. i have no mount at my disposal.. and not very keen of those either"

Rhys in an attempt to show a team approach replies to the dwarf. I have a mule you made ride if you wish. She is not the energetic sort and should prove a steady mount for you.

I am also thinking in this quest we may have need of a tracker. Do any of you have skills in this?

"That is generous of you, but won't you be riding it yourself? I have no skills in tracking. My skills are with the forge and the Word of the High King. I'm not all too bad swinging my waraxe either."

"Uh, actually, we know which way they went, but they are so far ahead of you by now that you're all going to need horses if you want a chance of catching up--they're moving very very slowly."

Actually I have a pony and use the mule for cargo. Since this is not a normal treasure seeking dungeon dive it should not be a problem if you would like to ride the mule.

I do not intend to question your usefulness only to see if we will be able to track our target if needed.

I only suggest we may need a tracker to be prepared-who knows what can happen.

Horses are a little large for someone of my stature, I hope my trusted pony and mule will suffice.

"Of course, a tracker would be most helpful, I am sure, brave hero. However, when it comes to riding, I fear you have no chance to catch them unless your group is moving at least twice as fast as a walking dwarf, which would mean at the least a swift light horse that is somewhat encumbered, or a heroic warrior who has faster speed than most mortals can dream about. Of course, if you managed to move at the speed of an unencumbered light horse, your chances would increase significantly. If necessary, I am told that I can offer you three light horses that I brought, and then I can send off for more to bring myself back home safely. I hear the warhorses can carry more and stay unencumbered, if you can afford them."

It would seem we may have need to take you up on the offer of your 3 horses. That will still leave us with 2 on ponies or we will have to double up on 2 of the horses. Unless of course any of the others either have a horse or have the money to buy them.

"My Orion is a rather fast pony and can certainly keep up with light horses when they're packed while Orion isn't. I wouldn't be able to bring much food for him if I have to pack him lightly though. Do you think we'll need much food for our mounts? Maybe I can pack it on one of the horses as they'll be loaded a bit heavier?"
