The door swings open and in walks two halflings in identical cloaks.
The male, obviously older, drags a trunk with a look of frustration on his face while the younger female looks about the place taking it in.
She removes her gloves finger by finger in a nonchalant way as if bored somehow as well.
As the male struggles to get the trunk through the door she pushes past.. and finds a place to sit her pack down at the nearest table.
When the older halfling catches up he stands and rubs his back while saying to her with a slight smile on his face and a wink...
You are going to have to start helping with that thing Pinkie. I am getting too old for this...when are you going to get a lady in waiting?
She smiles as if amused...and sits waiting for something.
The older halfling drops his own pack , his cloak and a crossbow and heads over to the bar...looking for the platform that most inns have in cosmopolitan towns for halflings to see over the bar.
He finds it and steps up.
Greetings, I have heard this place may have jobs available for those with the aptitude and skill for the same.
Joe, seems a little startled at the quick appearance of the little patron as he was engrossed in cleaning the water spots off a wineglass and looking down...
Oh!. Hullo good man that is indeed true there is a board over there with offers and such. Also, frequently those in need come in and sell the jobs via interview themselves or do the same with a representative. The drinks food and rooms here are free, but tipping is allowed.
Joe motions to a young boy appearing out of nowhere to get the trunk the halfling was struggling with tossing a key accross the bar.
Will you, and... (pausing a moment to guess) your charge there be sharing a room or would you like separate rooms?
Oh, we would share but require two beds and if you have it a partition for changing.
Fine, says Joe...now I require all guests to introduce themselves and say a little about themselves. It lends itself to conversation and mingling, which is after all how the magic happens here at The Red Dragon Inn matiching people in need with people in deed... <chuckles>
He motions to the little platform the man is standing on...
From there is fine.
The little man turns addresses the crowd and says in a rather harsh voice for his size...
I am Ray, a traveling barrister and problem solver...
He motions to the girl who takes a bow when introduced...
This is Pinkie, she is a tattoo artist of some skill and my partner she also conducts my investigations and can appraise antique items, jewelry and other items for a small fee for those who are interested. We can prepare legal documents of all kinds for a small fee as well.
We for now will retire to our room and return for a meal in a bit since we are dirty from travel. <dusts his sleeve for emphasis>

Pinkie is my daughters character, she will be making her own entries most of the time but since I just finished editing her sheets and stuff I just wanted to make our general entrance to the RDI so she can post in the morning. That's why I didn't have her say anything.
She is a kid, so I will be helping her out a little with wording, so give her a break on the intelligence of her character matching the dialog she's only 10.
I hope she doesn't lose interest due to the internet pace. We play at home every Sunday AM, which is Daddy Daughter time. She likes a lot of RP action with people saying her character is pretty and how cool her outfits are. So...if you all find it in your heart a lot of conversation with her will help and help develop a new gamer. Getting her in on pbp as well.
