"Really? You think I'm special? Why? Mommy always said that too, but I didn't know if she was just saying that...But what about the people who pretend to be nice but are really evil like Scun?"
Conversation said:"Dagummit...it is great to see you back so soon--is it possible that you have found the cure for Alyx already?"
"Nay, ba I simply had ta turn back, fer personal reasons...I hope tha team has enough manpower left ta handle themselves, ba from wha I've seen, even mighty Somac looks like 'e might leave soon, and I dinnae think they can manage it alone."
"Well, you know that I am willing to give any and all of my remaining 20,000 gold to the cause if only it will help find a cure for my poor Alyx. Do you know of anyone else who could help?"
"Na really--Ah'm tired now, and ah'm sorry but I jes want ta go home and rest for now...Maybe some day I will return...In any rate, they are down in a town called Briarton right now if it helps."
"Oh dear...I'd hate to think of what will happen to Alyx if they fail...thanks for that at least, my friend. Go in peace..."
Thurgan said:"Who ya got on yer team, there, Dagummit?" Thurgan asked. "I might be able ta help out, d'pendin' on who Alyx is, the pay, and whatnot."
Mearran said:"You've been through a lot in your few years, and adversity tends to make people strong, I can tell just by talking with you that you have already grown up so much."
"There will always be pretenders and sometimes they will trick you, it's hard starting out. As you grow you'll learn and then those people wont ever trick you again"
"Okay, then there, brother," Thurgan replied, not wanting to push the dwarf. He knew that he hated being pushed . . . .Dagummit said:"Well, they've got sum people an' such...I din really want ta talk about it too much," Dagummit ponders, as he swigs another ale.
Thurgan looked appraisingly at the old man, one eye wider than the other. "Mebbe I might, mister," Thurgan replied. "What'sa problem, and who ya got on it? I came ta da Inn 'cause I already was alone too long . . . better onna team."Zarindas said:"Ah, excuse me good sir, but I hear that you might be interested in helping my daughter?" the old man inquires, "My name is Zarindas, and my daughter Alecto is terribly ill..."
"Sounds like a pretty good crew, ta me . . . bit light on the curin' and whatnot," Thurgan mused. Thurgan thought about it for a few moments, "Don't see how coming ta yer place could hurt none . . . least hear ya out and all. Ya looking fer any more . . . furball might help, errr . . . Mearran, tha' is."Zarindas said:"Well, I can't speak of the details here in the inn, though I would welcome you to come to my home to discuss this if you wish...You can meet my poor daughter there too...maybe the visitor will help cheer her up. If I do recall, we at one time had Dagummit here, a stout fellow named Somac that Dagummit mentioned as looking like he may be leaving, a tracker by the name of Anton, a halfling named Cade, a wizard called A'jardin, a girl named Tandi, a fellow by the name of Rillian, and a half-orc cleric who agreed to help."
Rystil Arden said:"Well...I guess so...Do you think when I grow up, I can be a great magic-person like mommy? Those pretenders scare me...they might wanna scam me--you said scam is a bad trick, right?...Because, I want to like you, Mister Kitty-Cat, but I'm so afraid of how bad I'll feel if I get a bad scam again."
