Kyle goes to stand and his chair lifts with him, it seems that the meal has been exceptionally good and the dwarf has 'spread' a little further than he anticipated (and that the Dragon needs wider chairs). With a resigned sigh Kyle lets the chair settle back to the floor and reaches for one of the unfinished drinks that dots the table.

Deos wanders back downstairs and over to where Kyle sits. Taking a seat next to the large dwarf, he sighs, "The accomodations are as wonderful as I remember, this is truly a remarkable place."

"In the meantime, we should have some stories. Lupic, you saved a village from bandits! That must have been fascinating! How did you do it?"

"Lupic not great storyteller. We go to village that bandits attack. We fight bandits. We talk to other bandits and they stop attacking. Other bandits not like to stop attack so we kill those. It was not hard. Lupic not do much of talking, he kill bandits."

"Ay, they say that this Inn is built at the very centre of the universe - hard to believe but that's what I've heard" Kyle says to Deos with a wink.

Deos considers Kyle's comment with a grin and says, "Well, the only way to be sure is to get out there and explore the universe. Now, if only and adventure would come our way!" Deos flags down a serving girl and orders a drink for Kyle and himself.

"Oh, I'm sure there'll be something soon. It's just the question if I'll survive this boring Calm. Which reminds me, Deos. I've wanted to ask you something, but with the whole business of hunting an already captured criminal, it eluded me. Do you speak either the language of air, or the language of my people? I thought I heard a word that sounded somewhat familiar from you."

"I do indeed speak the language of air. I find that my arcane incantations roll off the tongue much more nicely in that language." Deos thinks for a moment and then says, "I am unsure I speak the same language as your people. What is the language of your people? Perhaps the two languages are related?"

Semabin speaks a few sentences in Sairundani. While it sounds it might be derived from Auran, it is clearly a different language. He waits a few seconds, then continues in common "Sairundani and the language of air are not the same, but I hear they are somehow related. From the few bits I heard, that seems likely. I guess we ... borrowed something from the djinn ages ago. Can you say borrowed in this case?". Semabin thinks for a bit, then adds "Do you think you could teach me some of the basics of the language of air?"
